You have a way of converting csv or rtf attachments to QF? I've never been able to get t to work. Can you share?

Re: Emate RAM

It shipped with 3 MB of RAM (1MB of DRAM, 2 MB of Flash Memory for
user storage)
The internal upgrade takes it to about the same memory specs as the
2100, 8 MB for ram (4 MB of DRAM and 4 MB of Flash Memory for user
storage)
It is said that the installation of the upgrade also increases the
speed slightly.
As far as I know these are the only two options. At one time
Mr.PCBMan was looking at creating a new board with more storage ram
but this didn't happen.
If you can get the upgrade I think it is worth it.

[NTLK] FS - Harris/Draconian SuperTech2000 & ask for other items in
interested.
I'm letting go of one of these units.
Photos of one of my units is located here.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/sonnyhung/sets/72057594059400967/
The first 17 photos are of one of my units.
The unit is complete.
It powers up fine.

You will get the following:
Harris/Draconian SuperTech2000
This has the Flip Cover which also acts as a stand.
The Battery Cover which uses a screw to secure it.
The backlight works fine.
The PCMCIA Rubber Seal
To use this unit you will have to jury rig an adapter converter to power it
from a Newton Power Adapter.
I have made one of these but it's actually sold already and it's only in my
possession temporarily till I can get it shipped to it's owner.
Which will be soon cause I'm clearing my basement of anything that needs to
be return to their owner and I'm trying to get those out the door before my
next vacation.

No Stylus, Hand Strap, Battery Pack or Protective Boot included.

I've got a second ST2K available also - be aware that I have which is a
production unit with all the labels which I also have a second unit that's a
prototype.
The prototype will of course be more and BOTH WORK.

Re: These Look Terrible

Is it just me, or is it that Microsoft and to some extent Nokia (with the
N800) don't get it. A desktop UI sucks for devices that don't use a
keyboard and mouse. You would think that if the device was going to run
Windows, at least put a new interface on it.

Everyone outside of Newton fanatics complained about the size of the Newton.
Now hardware manufacturers are building devices that essentially do the same
thing as a newt, but are bulky and have a poor interface. Its not like it
has been done before :-)

*sigh*

Looking to buy an EMate

Sorry for posting this here, but I trust the folks on this group a
lot more than some EBayers... .

Anyway, there is no hurry at all, but if you find in the next weeks,
that you have one EMate too many sitting around, I'd be happy to buy
it. It would need to be shipped to Germany. I'd pay with Paypal or
international bank transfer (no more personal checks in the German
banking system). I need the EMate to test a bunch of things for the
DYne development, but also see it as great addition in my office.

Thanks,

   Matthias

On an 8-core machine, you probably need 20 or more instances and a
good airconditioning unit, because all CPU's will be maxed out in
order to get that single task slower. Even with my dual core machine,
it gets quite noisy... .

MP2100 battery thermal switch part replacement

Hi,
I'm trying to rebuild my MP2100 battery pack, but my ham-fisted
attempt has done something nasty to the thermal switch component.

Does anyone know of a source for a replacement switch, or am I going to
pay for my lack of skill by being forced to buy a refurbished battery pack?

Thanks,
Martin.
