You're welcome, Robert. If you can't find an Ethermac card and want one, there's a place or two I could check
for you.

LDAP viewer?

Does anyone know of a program for 2x00 newtons that will browse an ldap
server via tcp/ip?

I've googled around a bit and hit the unna archives with no success...

Re: NUGS - Dallas/Fort Worth- Texas

Hail fellow SATX Newton users,

I'm turning people into Newton junkies here in San Antonio as well. I'm
hard at work in the Northwest Corridor of I-10 and UTSA, we should spread
out to maximize the gospel of John Sculley thru the entire 410 loop.

Yo! I am down here in San Antonio along with a couple of other Newton
junkies. There are some in Austin too. Maybe we could start a TexNUG. I
get jealous everytime I hear about the SNUG meetings. I feel like
Rudolph not getting to play any reindeer games, ya know. Just a thought.

New Wireless Access!!

I did it!

I'm now connected wirelessly to the internet through my access point
using a NetGear MA-401 card and NetHopper. I forgot I had it and thought
I would make it work. And I did! Many thanks to the info at:
http://tools.unna.org/wikiwikinewt/index.php/WaveLan
It was all I needed to download the correct packages and get connected.

Re: New Wireless Access!!

Ack!

Everytime I try to go to www.newtontalk.net, I get sent to the page that
says "IT Services in New York City, San Franciso..."

I also tried to connect to my webmail server at www.myclearwave.net and
I just get an error message.

But www.google.com/ie works fine!

Ctrl-Alt-Del (cmd-opt-esc) for Newton?

Is there a way to kill a stuck application without resorting to the
reset button? I realize that it's hard to give the OS a three finger
salute when you only have one finger (the pen) but maybe there's some
obscure utility that allows this via some secret screen location. I've
been trying to play nBattleship with my daughter between a MP130 and a
MP2100 but the game seems to randomly freeze on the MP130 necessitating
a reset. TIA

If you're using Nethopper, be sure that you have the HTTP/1.1 patch
installed. Unpatched versions of nethopper do not understand virtual
hostnames.
