Hi,

Is there a way to add address info from a received mail directly to your
personal/shared address book?

Best regards,

Tools/Add Sender to Address Book? Or isn't it that simple? :-)

Mail database > Inbox > Tools > Add sender to address book to add to
personal address book.
I don't know of a built in way to do this for a shared address book.

RE: Forcing a frameset

Esther,

I have some code that converts pasted document links into urls. The trick
is to paste the document link into a text field, not a rich text field.
This results in text that looks something like this:

Robert A LaRock - RE: Forcing a frameset
<NDL>
<REPLICA 88256DC7:0005D544>
<VIEW OFFAD11842:30CBDB17-ON88256E0F:0057309B>
<NOTE OFAE3DE900:BFE159CA-ON882570AB:006B1F05>
<HINT>CN=servername/O=organizationalinfo</HINT>
<REM>Database 'Robert A LaRock', View 'LNOTES-L', Document 'RE: Forcing a
frameset'</REM>
</NDL>

I suspect you could modify the url as you need to use the correct frameset.
Here's the code I used in the Input Translation event to convert the link
(the stuff marked with <<<< ... >>>> should be removed):

REM { If the client pastes a document link into the field, convert it to a
url. Algorithm: is it a document link? if so check link type, if doc link,
extract the db, view, doc, hint and translate to url, if not display error,
message if not don't translate. Returns: URL } ;

title : Title_1 ;
tTitle := "Title_1" ;
url := URL_1 ;

temp := url ;

RE: Forcing a frameset

Thanks, Robert. I'll keep this for future reference, but it doesn't solve
the issue I have now. The doclinks aren't being pasted anywhere. The user
is in a particular folder of the database, and clicks a button that sets a
flag on a profile document and sends an email to the owner of that folder.
The email is created via LS, and the doclink is added via
NotesRichTextField.AppendDocLink.

It could be that the recipient can't accept HTML mail or you may have a
"bad" setting in your Location Document. I would check the Location
Document first. Open it, go to the Mail tab, and check what is in the
"Format for messages addressed to internet addresses" field. "MIME format"
is the one that should keep the fidelity.

Hope that helps.

Has anyone used the Notes client Javascript functionality? I'm wondering if
I could adapt a script that I've used to force a URL to open in a frameset
to work in the Notes client.
