Unless you have your Yahoo mail account forwarding to your Gmail account
you are not going to receive any mail from this list. It appears your
delivery options are to your Yahoo address. I don't think you can
forward mail from a free Yahoo account so you'll probably have to add
your Gmail address as an additional address in your Yahoo profile then
change PGP-Basics options to deliver to your Gmail account.

You're going to need a system tray application to use OpenPGP in a
webmail interface, so you best get your delivery options straightened
out else you'll be installing additional software (that's probably not
going to run from a USB drive).

FWIW, if You're using GnuPG then GPGshell _does_ have a simple utility
that will 'move' Your GPGshell to USB along with the necessary GnuPG
Files so that 'Tray Encryption/Decryption' can be managed from a Thumb
Drive.

The drawback, as always, is that You have to be using it on a machine
where You are not blocked from running .exe Files. :-\

I am not sure if I am talking about the same thing, but I am receiving
the messages from the list in my gmail account. Anyway, it seems
yahoo.es addresses still allow to use pop3 access, for free.

I have tested thunderbird portable with enigmail for thunderbird
portable, and then used gpgshell (with Copy2USB tool) to put a copy of
gpgshell in my USB flash stick. It also had the effect of upgrading the
gpg version (my hdd installed version was newer than the one included in
enigmail for thunderbird portable). All that runs perfectly, but of
course, I could do that because I had an hdd installed set of these
programs...

"Useful Tip" from Yahoo Groups

Since many here read the Posts directly from the Yahoo Group Website or
for those who desire to review the Message archives I am passing along
this 'Tip' from the Yahoo Groups Community Team that I am a participant of.

**************************************************************************
Did you know that there’s an advanced message search feature within
Yahoo! Groups?

If you click Advanced next to the search box on your group’s messages
page, a new page opens up with options you can select to create a very
specific search of messages within your group. This tool allows you to
search for messages from a specific time frame or date range, from a
specific member, or by subject or topic.

Once you select your criteria and click the search button, all messages
within the group that meets that criteria are returned. This feature has
saved me a bunch of time on more than one occasion and I hope you find
it useful as well.

Best,
Jami
Groups Community Manager

Config Question re GPG/Enigmail

I edited my gpg.conf file today (see text below). Before that there was
no gpg.conf in the home directory and when I signed my unencrypted
messages SHA1 (H2) was the default hash. Now, RIPEMD160 (H3)appears to
be the default hash even though SHA512 (H10) is the first preferred hash
and according to gpg --version it is a supported algorithm. Why is
Enigmail/GPG using RIPEMD160 for the hash? How do I get it to default to
SHA512?

default-recipient-self
keyserver random.sks.keyserver.penguin.de
keyserver-options auto-key-retrieve include-subkeys
no-mangle-dos-filenames
default-preference-list S10 S9 S8 S7 S4 S3 S2 H10 H9 H8 H3 H2 Z2 Z3 Z1

Notice that these are "preferences" and when possible GPG will honor
them. But when encrypting to another Key GPG will also 'read' the
preferences Set on that Key [the Recipient's] and select according to
those preferences and capabilities.

To always use SHA512 for Signing then Comment Out [#]
personal-digest-preferences and add the line:

digest-algo SHA512 [You could sub H10 for SHA512]

This will tell GPG to /always/ use _only_ SHA512 but this could cause
problems for a Recipient using PGP 8.1 or any OpenPGP Application that
cannot handle/verify SHA512. :-\

Another thing to check; Have You also used setpref on Your Key to assign
