netfilter.org looking for ftp and www mirror sites

Hi!

The netfilter project is calling for international mirrors of it's
homepage and ftp server.

Ideally we would have one mirror for ftp and http per country,
having ftp.<CCtld>.netfilter.org and www.<CCtld>.netfilter.org in
operation.

We already have mirrors for: .de, .at, .it, .ar

If you have sufficient bandwith and want to donate a mirror, please
contact webmaster <at> netfilter.org (Reply-To is set in this message).

The mirrors are pulling from the public rsync service
(rsync.netfilter.org::ftp / rsync.netfilter.org::www).

Thanks in advance!

New netfilter/iptables patch-o-matic release

Good news, Everyone! (TM)

The netfilter core team announces a new release of the netfilter
patch-o-matic suite:

	patch-o-matic-20030912

This release contains the most up-to-date bugfixes and new features for
the netfilter/iptables subsystem of the 2.4.x Linux kernel. It supports
kernels >= 2.4.18

The patches are devided into several repositories. Which ones are to be
used, depends on how conservative or adventurous the user is ;)

'submitted':
Patches which have been submitted for kernel inclusion, most of
which have already appeared in 2.4.22. It's really recommended
	to always apply these.

'pending':
Patches currently pending for kernel inclusion. They will
almost certainly appear in 2.4.23 or one of the next official
	kernel releases.

'base':
New features which are self-contained enough so it's sure they
don't clash with each other. Those are safe in the way that they
don't harm already existing functionality. Playing with them
might discover one or the other remaining bug... you've been
	warned.

ulogd-1.02 released

Hi!

I have released version 1.02 of the iptables userspace logging
daemon (ulogd). This release just fixes a single (obvious, stupid) bug
introduced in version 1.01

The new Version is available as tar.bz2 only and can be retrieved from:
ftp://ftp.netfilter.org/pub/ulogd/ulogd-1.02.tar.bz2

There is a GPG signature for verification of the authenticity of the
archive: ftp://ftp.netfilter.org/pub/ulogd/ulogd-1.02.tar.bz2.sig

Changes (since Version 1.01)
- fix printout of date in ulogd_LOCALTIME.c

Please direct any questions / bug reports to the
ulogd <at> lists.gnumonks.org mailinglist.

Summary of netfilter developer workshop 2003

Hi!

Jozsef has put together a small web page on the 2nd netfilter developer
workshop that was held in Budapest two months ago.

The page also links to a small (incomplete) summary of the workshop.

If you're interested about what we've been talking, and what decisions
were made, that webpage might be worth reading.

URL: http://www.netfilter.org/~kadlec/workshop-2003-budapest/

It also features a group photo of all attending netfilter developers.
