SMTP Proxy failure

Hello there,

i have the problem that efw is not forwarding emails to the mail server in
the dmz.

10.2.1.2 Mail Server inside DMZ
10.1.1.1 efw

now the configuration is as following
proxy->smtp->Main
Enabled:  true
Incoming mail enabled: true
proxy->smtp->Domains
myDomain.de 10.2.1.2
proxy->smtp->Advanced
IMAP server for SMTP authentication:
Authentication enabled: true
IMAP server:10.2.1.2

All the other options are disabled

Sending of emails is working fine also if I connect to efw via telnet I can
communicate with efw perfectly

In log of exchange i see that there were no connection attempts to deliver
mails from efw->exchange

My question is what should i set ?
How can I analyze the logs better then in the web gui?

AD auth implementation

Hi,

how is the ActiveDirectory authentication of squid (I assume the web
proxy is squid) implemented? Does one have to push Endian via winbind
into the AD-domain? Is it possible to use group based policies then?

VPN configuration

is there any documentation about the VPN part available yet? I'm stuck a
bit at this, and it differs quite from the old documentation...

Re: AD auth implementation

Yes the web proxy is Squid.
What you meant by push Endian into the AD-Domain? Join Endian into the Domain? if is so, yes, you have to join Endian into the Domain.
Yes, once Endian access the Domain you can use Group policies.

does that mean, I have to install samba and winbind onto Endian? Is there
meybe some howto on this? (and is it a wise idea, to have samba on the
firewall?)

Re: AD auth implementation

Lars,
Endian Firewall is a turn key product. You should not install anything else on it to get the features (http://www.endian.com/en/products/features/) working, so EFW comes already with Samba, Windbind, Kerberos, etc.
