I think push option go into the servers config file, but you might have to
manually add them like ;
push "route 192.168.0.0 255.255.255.0"

Re: Ver 2.2 Beta 3 Port Forwarding

You are right.. Beta 3 has problems.. It appears to relate to the port
forwarding problem. Ipcop has a button to eliminate reponse to pinging, I
suspect this setting is on.I cant use bittorrent, in fact nobody can ping me
because this firewall doesnt respond although I see the specific pingers
(friends of mine ) in the hit list..
VPN cant be set up because nobody can get in. Pidgeon doesnt work either..
which probably is the same reason..
so now that I am back on IPCOP and everything appears to be back to normal,
I will wait for this design to mature.. Actually Endian holds great promises
and I really like what they are trying to do..
Fixing the install setup is great.. putting up OpenVPN is great also since
we wont have to hand install zerina as they suggest for smoothwall and
IPcop.

Speaking of load-balancing

I was looking at the lokiwall scripts...

"I know just enough to be dangerous."  (about IPTables and routing)

With the minor patch(es) required, and some tweaking of the scripts and merging into the endian community ed scripts, this should NOT be a major ordeal to get working and stable.  I would volunteer to work with someone (or some people) to get this done.  I don't know if there's a current (say current-beta) build with gcc, kernel sources, etc., available, or how to get one running.  But if we had that, it wouldn't take all that long to build a POC/beta version with the patches and scripts integrated, AFAIK.

Now, after a review of their scripts, and the required patches, _I_ don't see any issue getting it merged.  Does anyone out there have knowledge to the contrary, before I waste time, and run into a brick wall that others already know about???

If not, if anyone can give me some direction as to getting a "endian build machine" running, I could start the process.

Re: Unable to keep push options and static routes after restarting

Thanks, Scott.

What I did was add options to the user.tmpl file located /var/openvpn/.
However, I noticed that I could only add one domain option. Do you know if
there is a way to add multiple domain options?

Efw doesn't work for me right now, so I am waiting for 2.2 to go stable before
I test again. Sorry...

Re: Change 100mbts to 10mbts on my red NIC

I don't know how to do this offhand in nix configs, but it
is possible to change. Some routers have the option to set
the port speed, so you could do it there instead.
Since the port speed is matched automatically these days,
you could buy a new/used 10baseT hub and place it between
the two devices - that would force 10mbit. Many ppl have old
10baseT hubs laying around.
