Keeping PDFs when copying references from one library to

another

I attach PDF files to my references by inserting them as objects in the
"PDF file" field in the Journal Article reference type. This creates a
PDF file in the library.data folder associated with the library.
However, when I copy the reference to a different EndNote library, the
"PDF file" field is empty. Is there a way of copying the reference and
copying the PDF file with it, or can something like this only be
accomplished by putting the link in the "Link to PDF" field?

Thanks,
Astrid

Hi

Does someone have the output style for "Journal of Crystal Growth"?

Thanks in advance

Endnote and printing

I have only recently acquired Endnote through my university. I have
found it easy to enter the references and made an entry under the notes
section "not got" so that I could select out afterwards those references
I need to find in the library. This selecting out I did and then wanted
to print out the list now in the window so that it only contained those
references I had selected and having sorted them in the window in
journal alphabetical order I thought a simple print command would then
print out what was in the window..

But what was printed out was the original list of refenences and not the
selected and sorted list. I have tried using help but cant figure it out

I was not given a manual (idiots guide??) with the software - does such
a thing exist?

Thanks

Question about "Access denied"

I'm getting an "Access denied" message when I try to open my Endnote
file. It seems to be a problem with the software. Our IT people have
checked on their end.
Has anyone had this problem before?
The only change recently with the program-I added some other users to
the list of authorized users, and we had a power failure last week.
Thanks for any help!
Carole

Re: endnote-interest-digest V1 #2287

Sorry, no, but that brings me to a similar question:
Does someone have an output style for musical documentation, especially sheet music, and reviews of
CDs/DVDs would also be very welcome.
TIA, Oriolus

PsycINFO (OVID) filter file

Has anyone modified the PsycINFO (OVID) filter file to improve the
importing of book chapters ? Using the latest filter file from the
EndNote page, they are imported as an edited book and without the
correct editor names. EndNote support thinks there is a conflict between
PT (publication type) and DT (document type) in the OVID record, but I
would be interested to hear of any others' attempts to fix this.

cheers,
Pauline

RE: Keeping PDFs when copying references from one library to

Please advise of the version and how you are inserting the link?
Working with Endnote X, copying references from one library to the
other, takes the PDF with it, whether it is a relative link, or the PDF
is copied to the DATA/PDF folder. I insert the PDFs by either dragging
and dropping them on to the record in the library display, or opening
the record and using the PDF, link to PDF command.

RE: Endnote and printing

Please remember to provide version information.
I didn't see a response to this question from last week, so here goes:

An excellent resource is the "help" Function with in the Endnote
program. If you type "print" in the index, you can choose Print
selected references and get this Information, the most important of
which is that you need to create a style (and then ensure it is selected
in Endnote) specifying the sort order you desire. Depending on the
version of endnote, you need to ensure that only those reference you
want to print, are "showing" You should also be able to find the PDF
version of the manual in the Endnote program folder (although you may
need to show hidden folders, to find it).

Printing Instructions
To print a list of references directly from EndNote:
Make sure that all of the references you want to print are either
selected (highlighted) or showing in the Library window.

From EndNote's Edit menu, go to the Output Styles submenu and choose a
style (or use the style menu on the Main toolbar).

(Optional) References will be printed in the order specified by the
selected output style. If you want to change the sort order, you must
modify the output style:

From the Edit menu, choose Output Styles and then Open Style Manager.

Select the output style and click Edit.

In the left pane of the window, under Bibliography, select Sort Order.

ADDR style needed

Hi All,
Right now I urgently need the style of Advanced Drug Delivery
Review. I can not find it in the database. If someone happens to have
it, could you share it with me? Thanks a lot.
