state of gtksheet in gtksheet-2

hi,

I've just checked out gtksheet-2 from cvs to see if that widget better
suites my apps need than the treeviewwidget. Unfortunately the demo
seg-faults. Is it just a minor issue or whats the state of the widget?

./testgtksheet
CHANGE CELL: -1 2
CHANGE CELL: 12 -1

(lt-testgtksheet:14706): Gtk-WARNING **: gtkwidget.c:7129: widget class
`GtkSheet' has no property named `default_border'
Segmentation fault

Ciao
  Stefan

Re: state of gtksheet in gtksheet-2

Hi again,

just found out that it works when using the default gtk2 theme. It crashed using
the Smooth-Gnome theme. I'll try to look deeper into it ...

What version of gtk+ are you using? Thanks!

PS: I'm preparing an RPM and tarballs as right now.

Re: state of gtksheet in gtksheet-2

Hi Adrian,

I am using gentoo linux which right now includes gtk+-2.6.7. The same version is
installed locally (with the debug symbols in it).

Cool! The widget really looks like the thing I need in buzztard
(http://www.buzztard.org).
A few more questions (sorry if they are FAQs).
#1) Any reason the doc is not using gtk doc? I can offer some help with
gtk-docize it.
#2) Can I put own widgets into cells/headings?
#3) Is there something like the filter of the GtkTreeView? I currently use that
to skip the display of some line. Or can lines/columns be 'folded in' (made
invisible).

I have an old version of gtk+-2 installed, I'll try it out with 2.6.x
and I'll update on this.

Of course you are more than welcome. Let me finish with the release
(still working on the Change log), and you can play with the code.

Sure! Look at the example 2 in testgtksheet.

You can use gtk_sheet_rows/columns_set_visibility to hide/show them.

ANNOUNCE: GtkExtra-2 released!

Hi everybody! The long awaited day has arrived, and GtkExtra is
officially available for download from the sourceforge repository. The
changes after all these years are so many that I lost track of them.
However, you'll notice that the API has not changed much.

Some changes that come to my mind right now are:

- Plot axes are objects now: GtkPlotAxis
- GtkPlotCanvas items have been widgetized and you can easily create
your own.
- Plot gradients are independent objects now and can be shown in
different positions and orientations, and you can define your own colors
and levels.
- object properties have been defined.

Enjoy!
<ADRIAN>

Anyone lurking on this list working on gtkextramm2?

Hi All,
I am interested in gtkextramm2. Looking at gtkmm.sourceforge.net, and
mailing list archives, I notice that development there is stagnant.
I checked out the cvs archive of gtkextra2 and gtkextramm2, and forged
ahead.

My question is.... Is anyone out there working on porting gtkextramm2?
I'm willing willing to pitch in, but don't want to re-invent the wheel,
if possible.

Thanks for you time
Bill

Bug in gtkplotcanvas?

I see in gtkplotcanvas that it inherits its widget from GtkFixed, but
in
struct _GtkPlotCanvasClass, parent_class is set to GtkLayoutClass.

I'm a fairly proficient gtk/gtkmm user, but have not done much in the
area of widget development myself, so forgive the newby question.
But shouldn't parent_class be a GtkFixedClass?

Thanks
Bill

Re: ANNOUNCE: GtkExtra-2 released!

	Adrian,

Thank you *very* much for continuing to work on gtkextra-2! I know
that having this release put together is going to help many people. We
appreciate it!
