Thanks, Arik,

We are plan to have the same format as the last meeting (one hour presentation and the rest is dedicated for coding).
Do you have any contact at IDC?

[pyweb-il:204] Some good and not-so-good news

Hello everyone,

This mail is to inform all of you about some relevant news:
1. The next meeting will be postponed.
2. Django 1.1 beta released.
3. Django in TheMarker.

In more details:

1. The next meeting will be postponed.
Due to lack of hosting facilities and the coming Passover and later the Euro.djangocon , the 5th meeting is postponed.
I hope we can make it at May.
Any assistant with hosting arrangement is very welcome.

2. Django 1.1 beta released.
See:
It's not for production yet. The production version is planed to be released next month.
What new in Django 1.1.? Read the release note.

3. Django in TheMarker.
Django is in the Israeli press. OK, it's just few lines, but it's a good sign that Django is here.
On the last monthly TheMarker magazine, Rafael Fogel wrote an article about "10 big issues that engaged the 2009's web developers". One of those ten is Web framework and Django in mentioned there as well as ROR (of course). Sorry, I didn't find any electronic trace for this article. So no link this time.

[pyweb-il:205] Re: Some good and not-so-good news

Hi,

I'm trying to arrange a place in Bar Ilan University. If I manage to get a large enough room, I'm only worried about wireless - does any one know the details of the wireless setup we had at google? I mean, is there anything special I need to do for 20-30 people to have working connections, or is a simple infrastructure setup with a single master sufficient?

I think a plain, off-the-shelf wireless router should be able to
handle the traffic of 20-30 wireless clients.
