Short introduction

Hello all,

I am Oliver from Germany and I started programming with Python about two years ago. After earning a BSc in
Computer Science this year I recently started to work for a company that is adopting Python for some
in-house projects and I am involved in the first big pure Python project there. I am reading a lot of Python
literature, blogs, lists, etc. and I am interested to get involved in the community a bit more.

So, not an author (yet) ... but I thought I might have a peek here as well :)

Regards
Oliver

Hi, Oliver!

This list is pretty quiet. I originally thought we might use it to find tech reviewers, authors for the
now-defunct Python Magazine, and other purposes. That never really panned out very well, though, and I
don't remember the last time someone posted here. Ah, well.

Looking back over the years, after I learned Python I realized that I
never really had enjoyed programming before.

looking for some help with PSF blog

I need a couple of people to help out drafting blog posts for the PSF blog. The work involves taking a short
description of an event or an announcement of a grant, doing a modicum of research to fill in details and
find appropriate links, then formatting it as reStructuredText. We don't usually do more than 2 posts in a
given week, so the workload isn't very heavy.

If you are interested in contributing, please contact me directly.

Thanks,
Doug

Re: looking for some help with PSF blog

I can be put on rotation for this kind of thing. Just ping me as
needed. If you need anyone on the other end (copy editing, etc), let
me know that as well.
