Are there any good forums or mailing lists for discussing porting of Open Source C/C++ applications to

Hi

Just joined the group.  Taught myself C++ using Turbo C++ while commuting to work on a laptop running DOS with
a one meg hard drive.  After I retired took C++ course at the local communitty college.  

Upgraded Turbo C++ to Builder which I loved.  Looking for a reasonable replacement for Builder.  Have MS VC++
Express (but what have they done to the language.)

Are there any good alternatives??
