Re: Hijri calendar conversion library

Hi there,

As till already mentioned it's not the best way to "participate & share
these codes" ;) Instead you can pick an existing PEAR package (e.g.,
Calendar) and send patches to developers or submit them in PEAR bug
tracker. Or if you think your code doesn't fit in any existing package,
then feel free to start a PEPr.

Either way your code should conform to PEAR CS.

My list of nominees

Here's my list of people I would love to nominate for this and next
year's PEAR group (In no particular order) before we announce a full
list of participants:

- Ken Guest
- Travis Swicegood
- Mathieu Gauthier
- Christian Weiske
- Daniel O'Connor
- Helgi Thormar
- Joe Stump
- Chuck Burgess

I know that's more than 7 but a fierce battle could be interesting :)

By Sunday I'll try and announce who accepted their nominations and who
is going to be running.

If you have anyone else, go go go ! :)

Fwd: Enhancement of package OpenDocument

Hi there PEAR list,

I have applied for a PEAR account in order to join the development
team for the OpenDocument package. As stated on the application page I
have also sought approval from the PEAR-DEV list and the package
developer. Now I am still hoping someone here on this list will
approve and activate my account. I cannot re-apply as my e-mail
address seems to be registered in the system. (See conversation below
for reference.)

Please, if you read this and you have the power to approve my request
for a PEAR account (the address registered in the registration is
"peter.bittner(a)gmx.net"; the user name should be "pbitter" or
"bittner") please approve, or let me and Alex (the package developer)
know the reason for the denial.

Thanks for your help,
Peter

Hello, Peter.
I assume, that your account has not been activated yet. I tried to
contact some PEAR members, but have not got any reply yet.
Could you send a request to PEAR-DEV channel again and ask to activate
your account in order to join the OpenDocument package.

PEAR_TestListener 0.3.0 proposal

Hi all,

First,
I would like to thanks, *Till*, *Michael* and *Daniel* to have comment
my previous proposal named RFC::PEAR_TestListener, that is now "dead"
(removed by myself).

Even if version 0.2.0 was not marvellous, and let me a bitter taste, I'd
like to keep ability to used PHPUnit switches even when calling a test
suite directly with the PHP interpreter.

php  /path/to/unit/test/suite.php

For example:
php  /path/to/unit/test/suite.php  --filter myTest

I've finally found a solution without add/inject PHPUnit code source as
it was with 0.2.0

One tip + a test runner later and I'm almost ready to propose a new
version (0.3.0)

Second,
It's not yet finished, because I have to implement a feature that I'm
pretty sure you'll like it, but you can have a first look on draft
available at [1] (with classes and examples source code explained).

Imagine you have just to run your test suite with only one command :

php  /path/to/unit/test/suite.php  --configure xmlfile

Do you mean Michael Gauthier? I couldn't find a Mathieu Gauthier on the
list of developers :-)

If so, I accept your nomination. As a PEAR group member, I would:

 * continue to review package proposals
 * move the website forward
 * hang out more on irc
 * help new developers out with accounts/cvs/karma/etc

I must warn everyone though that my PEAR work will still be secondary to
my job at silverorange and I won't always be able to give it 100%.

David, can you outline the PEAR group's responsibilities? I have a
general idea of what the group does, but a refresher would be nice.

Commit access on Text_Wiki_Tiki and Text_Wiki_Mediawiki

Hi PEAR developers, I have created a PEAR account (username rodrigosprimo)
in order to join the development team of Text_Wiki_Mediawiki and
Text_Wiki_Tiki. I'm writing to the list to ask for approval. I have already
contacted Justin Patrin, one of the packages developers.

Thanks, Rodrigo.

Well, first you need to get an account on the PEAR website and then a
CVS account (yes, this package is in CVS since it's old :-p).

PEAR_TestListener 0.3.0 proposal -- Milestone 2

Hi all,

I've just finished to test basic PEAR::Log handlers with my new
PEAR_TestListener 0.3.0 feature.

Remember yesterday when I wrote :

"...
Imagine you have just to run your test suite with only one command :

php  /path/to/unit/test/suite.php  --configure xmlfile
..."

The *dream* is now a *reality* :)

Even if you have ability to implement code as explained in my current
draft proposal, you can now edit a simple config file to add/remove/use
any PEAR::Log handler available.

On the same PHPUnit XML configuration file, you could have now these
parameters

<phpunit>
   <loggers>
     <file ident="f1" name="C:\wamp\bin\php\php5.2.9-2\php.log"
           level="info" />
     <composite>
       <file ident="fic2" />
       <null ident="f2" />
       <file ident="f2" />

[PEPr] Changes in proposal for Web Services::Services_Scribd

Rich Schumacher (http://pear.php.net/user/richid) has edited the proposal for Web Services::Services_Scribd.

Change comment:

* Modified Servicse_Scribd_Common::sendRequest() to only set the
HTTP_Request2 adapter if it is not null.

* Fix the package name and version string that is sent out during the
request.

* Updated the unit tests to comply with the new changes. Also used the
HTTP_Request2 mock adapter, which is a lifesaver.

Please review the proposal:

Thanks.

Is there any ETA for PEPR being "unbroken"?
