Net_Geo vs. Net_GeoIP

I don't exactly get the difference between Net_Geo and Net_GeoIP. What's
the difference and if there is a difference, can't these packages be
merged into one?

greetings,

I just quickly looked, and net_geo uses a different set of databases (CADA,
for one) than does net_geoip. also I suspect the API is different... I don't
know if a merge is appropriate.

Maybe Net_Geo2 would be the way to go and appropriate. You could
introduce a driver-based architecture.

pear.php.net/rest-login.php

So does anyone out there have an example that actually works with the
new rest-login code that is on pear.php.net?

I've been trying to update Auth's PEAR container to work against the
new login code but not having any luck. The example code provided in
the top of rest-login.php just returns '2 Invalid Remote Login' which
from my reading of the code means it can't find the submitted fields.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: pear.php.net/rest-login.php

If you want you can look at:

http://svn.pear.php.net/wsvn/PEARSVN/wiki/MW_Pear.php?op=file&rev=0&sc=0

Look at the method called authentication, this will give you pretty
much all the infos one need :)

Let me know if this is ok, if you need more infos I'll give you more :)

Comment:

Great, even with unit tests. I hope we get some documentation after this
package enters pear.

Comment:

Excellent inline documentation... minor issues,

PHP Fatal error: Class 'Crypt_DiffieHellman_BigInteger' not found in
/Users/bbieber/Desktop/Crypt_DiffieHellman-0.1.0a2/Crypt_DiffieHellman-0.1.0a2/DiffieHellman.php
on line 380

Should be Crypt_DiffieHellman_Math_BigInteger

And on the tests -

1) testDiffieWithSpec(Crypt_DiffieHellmanTest)

Object of class Crypt_DiffieHellman could not be converted to string

/Users/bbieber/Desktop/Crypt_DiffieHellman-0.1.0a2/Crypt_DiffieHellman-0.1.0a2/tests/DiffieHellmanTest.php:34

I'm confident all will be cleared up, great work.
