Automatic crash report generated by DrKonqi for OpenOffice.org.

Hello,

OpenOffice in OpenSuse 11.3 crashes always when opening a file created in OO in 11.2. Other ods files are all
right, though opening them "blocks" OO for 5-10 sec. Unfortunately, I can not send the file, as it contains
personal information.

Below there is the crash report. Kind regards,
krzysztof

handling of media (kio)

Hi,

I'm using kubuntu (dapper), and I was just wondering why openoffice.org-kde
would allow "save as" an existing file, but not "save as" new file?

ie. I can can "save as", click "Storage Media"->"Floppy Disk" and if I save
over an existing file it works fine, however if I try to use a new filename
that does not already exist on the floppy I get the error that 'Saving using
protocol "media" is not supported.'

It would seem that it should treat both of these methods the same way.

I do realize kio support is in the works which would fix this anyway, but
seems that if save as existing file works, save as new should also.

Yes, the help is still needed, and would be great to have you helping :-)

The mailing list for OOo Crystal icons is dev <at> kde.openoffice.org, would be
good to have you subscribed there - you can do that from
http://kde.openoffice.org page, seem 'Mailing lists' on the left.

If you have access to the KDE SVN repository, you can checkout it using:

svn checkout https://svn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/playground/artwork/oooicons

or

svn checkout svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/playground/artwork/oooicons

for the anonymous checkout.

Then you can have a look at doc/index.html - it contains a brief info about
the icons. The already drawn icons are in crystalsvg/, some template icons
(to be used as parts of other icons) are in crystalsvg-reusable/.

[Fwd: Re: [pclinuxos] Openoffice Betas]

Hi Jan,

I saw this (see below) on the mailing list for the Linux distro I use.
Have the Oo-KDE icons gone out yet or are we still working on the legal
issues with them (icons made from previous works, signing the agreement,
etc?)

All

I visited the OOo website yesterday and the next version out (125?) will
be the official Beta-2. As of the last two releases support for KDE
widgets has been added, but someone needs to do something about the
icons. I have uninstalled our OOo-1.1.4 and installed from the
OOosite's rpms of 1.9.x, and I have no issues with stability. So maybe
the Beta-2 version should go into stable.

how complete is KDE vcl plug? (QT on Mac)

Hi!

Inspired by the Trolltech's QT 4 announcement, I started wondering how
difficult it would be to port the current KDE vcl plug to Mac...

Jan or somebody else, would you like to give your understanding of the
situation?

Please reply here on this dev -list or to the thread in
http://trinity.neooffice.org/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=10157#10157

Thanks,

         Mox

Just let me know when you appear on the
http://www.openoffice.org/copyright/copyrightapproved.html
page; should be quite shortly (for me it was ~2 days) after you fax it.

No problem, I think. I'm still not sure whether my related patches will
do it to the OOo release in time anyway.

OK, would be great, thanks!

Using KDE widgets for OpenOffice - how?

Hi,

Is it possible to use KDE widgets for OpenOffice for the 2.0 beta (1.0 beta
releases)? I currently download the linux tarball such as
OOo_1.9.104_LinuxIntel_install.tar.gz from openoffice.org website and install
the RPMs in it.

It would be great if there was an additional RPM that I could install which
would allow me to use KDE widgets for these builds.

thanks,

Gmane
