Problem with Pre-existing Playlists that have backslashes

It looks like Gnump3d doesn't properly convert m3u playlists that use backslashes to separate directories.

I have a pre-existing m3u that was generated on a Windows machine, so it has backslashes for each mp3 like this:   Artist\Title.mp3

When I click on the m3u in Gnump3d, the m3u playlist it generates has entries like   http://servername/Artist%5CTitle.mp3  with %5C instead of forward slashes in place of the backslashes, so the file requests return 404's.

I found a quick way for users of my server to find new mp3s.  Basically, I did this by making a link that goes to
the new directories (I manually do
this when I add mp3s every couple days).  I modified the Avalon theme a while ago and just modified it further
by adding pop up menus to my index
pages.  One of my pop up menus is titled (Recent MP3s).  Putting the mouse over this reveals more menus of new
mp3s.  Here's my server so you can see
the pop up menus at the top of the page:

http://linuxhippy.servemp3.com:8001/

The pop up menus have a link to the author's page.  It's available for free.

That would be an awesome feature. I'm adding a couple of albums every 
day and my users can not keep track of all the new stuff without such an 
option. So, ís there a way to create this?

I attached a cropped screenshot of what I see in Firefox.  The changed Avalon theme is called "default" and
should be the default theme.  Here's the

Windows Configuration (can't figure out the slashes)

I had GNUMP3d working beautifully under Ubuntu, but I switched my HTPC to Windows and want to retain my music server.  Unfortunately, I can't get all the features set up correctly.  There seems to be a lot of issues with forward slash "/" and back slash "\" and when to use which one.  Plus there is so much more redundancy under Windows, under linux I only had to change the conf.  I got it installed correctly and a lot of trial and error got the server working but without random selections and "new" never went away, even though it was set to 7 days.  Does anyone have some configuration tips; which slash to use where and which files need editing?  This is the missing link to my HTPC and I want my GNUMP3d back.  I appreciate it.

frames

I'm trying to change my web server appearance by creating a small vertical frame above  my gnump3d template. 
The small vertical frame would have a
popup menu that does not move when the bottom frame is scrolled....in this way a menu would always be on the
screen if the user is at the bottom of
my index page.  A sample of what I mean is here:

I think the easiest thing to do would be to take the most basic gnump3d html file and keep adding things till it
flops.  What I mean about basic is a
simple html file (white background, no frames, no css file, no pictures, no <!-- include="header.tmpl"
-->, etc.) that still displays all the gnump3d
information that's needed.  Could someone direct me to such a file?

I figured something out.  The gnump3d variables like $BANNER have to be on the index.html page to work.  The
problem I'm running into with frames is
that if you designed a 2 frame page then you would need 2 files to be read off the index.html page.  Here's the
frame part of the popup menu:

 <frame name="navmenu" src="/navmenu.html"></frame>
 <frame name="content" src="/content.html"></frame>

The popup menu goes on the first frame or navmenu.html and the gnump3d content goes on content.html.  I'm
able to get a frame but the gnump3d
variables don't execute...they display the text only.

Is it possible to type the gnump3d variables into the last frame instead of loading them off of content.html?

Hmm. You could probably get away with using div and CSS instead of
frames. Then it is contained in one file. It's a little more
complicated (and I'm not that familiar with the process) but it should
work.

got it working without frames!!  My pop up menus that were statationary at the top of the page had an option for
floating....it now moves down the
page as you scroll.  I found out how on their forum:

I added a cascading popup menu and this is their main site:

You can see a sample on most of my pages.  Javascript must be enabled on my server and I was told some IE Blocking
software also blocks popup menus.
In Firefox 2.0.0.4 Linux it works fine.  Here's my gnump3d server:

Are the forward slash and back slash used interchangeably?  Is there some sort of reason why one is used in a certain case?  If I revert back to the default conf.win file, I have to use K:/music as opposed to K:\music as my root directory or Firefox cannot open any subdirectories.  What's the deal?
