Re: server difficulties

wow-same here! I have 5791 mp3 files (I used the find command in
Linux) in my mp3 partition but this is what gnump3d-index --stats gives:

Total number of songs: 5685
Total size of archive: 33.9Gb (36500588860 bytes)
Total playlength     : 93 days, 19 hours, 21 mins 57 seconds

~ 100 files are missing???

Well, if you want to get down to brass taxes like that, my gnump3d-index is
short 11231 songs.

# find /music -iname "*.mp3" -print | wc -l
13611

# gnump3d-index --stats
Total number of songs: 2380
Total size of archive: 19.5Gb (20943342764 bytes)
Total playlength     : 22 days, 7 hours, 6 mins 17 seconds

RE: Gnump3d-users Digest, Vol 34, Issue 4

Are you sure your music files have reading permission for gnump3d?
That might be a reason why it's not indexing it all.

Positive. My music share works fine on the internal network. I'm trying to use
GNUmp3d for all external networks to listen to the music.

time length of playlists

I'd like a quick way of finding the total length of time that a playlist of 20+ mp3 files are going to span. Is
there any way of specifying the
directory that stats searches?

FC 6 packages?

Is there an RPM of gnump3d for FC6? Googling has proved fruitless but for a
package here:
http://people.atrpms.net/~pcavalcanti/rpms/
But that seems to need a perl RPM that I can't seem to find :(
# rpm -ivh gnump3d-2.9.9.9-1.fc6.lcg.noarch.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
        perl(gnump3d::readtags) is needed by gnump3d-2.9.9.9-1.fc6.lcg.noarch

I could install from source, but why have a package manager if you're not
going to use it? ;)

Thanks,
Tim
