A new breed of free email! Worldwide access including WWW, Outlook, mobiles/PDAs etc.!

Being a gadget freak I own a T68I, T39, 6310I, 7650, 8310, and an IPAQ 3970. I've spent many an hour looking for
a unified email solution that would enable me to access my email from not only my *favorite email client &
web browser* but also my *mobile devices* as well. Eventually I found a solution offered by UPO, here's the
link :

http://www.universalpostoffice.com

They also offer you a variety of available email addresses including such as mymobile.net, and various
other phone/PDA type domains. They're even including 10mb of storage and POP3 access and aren't charging
a cent. For how long I don't know. BTW, easy access via GPRS/CSD with any built-in phone email client like
the 7650 or T68(I) has!

How to move a password manager file to a new profile?

Hello,

My mozilla profile got corrupted so I started with a brand new one but
then I have problem to re-use all my passwords cleverly encrypted with
PSM :-(

At first, I believed I could just replace the "somenumber.s" file. But
of course, I can't. Even with the same file name and master password I
cannot obtain the same encrypted ASN.1 string for my IMAP server (for
example).

Then I found this group and read all the really interesting related
threads (thanks to TGOS ;-). And I found the following post:
 > From: Nelson B. Bolyard
 > Object: Re: Desperate for Stored Password
 > Date: 2002-11-26 14:07:22 PST

Does it mean that it is not possible to _simply_ re-use my old password
file? I still have the prefs.js file of the old profile.

Maybe I can try to re-use my corrupted profile and move from encryption
to obfuscation...

Thanks for your help
Michel

There is none currently. NSS can decode and use CRLs, but it does not
create them. You must use other products to do that, such as Netscape
Certificate Management System (CMS).

Thanks for all the help. Once I used "useragent" for a search string in
google, I found a decent amount of information.

While it is true that navigator.platform is hardcoded. I even found a way
to block that during my searching. If anyone else wants this information,
I put some of the options I found below, which I gathered from various
forums and websites.

Create a file called "user.js" and put it in your personal directory.
Here are some of the the things you can block/alter the access to (among
many other options):

//modify useragent as desired:
user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; RISCOS4; en-U
S; rv:1.1; Gecko/20020826) Put any comments here");

//this blocks them from being able to see what site you just came from
//options are 0 or 1 (if other options are available, I don't know them):
user_pref("network.http.sendRefererHeader", 0);

//options for these are "noAccess" "sameOrigin" or "allAccess"

Can anyone tell me a way to track where my kids have gone while on the
internet. Other than History and cache. I am using N6. It shows
unviewable cache in C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles. They

Large Scale Certificate Management

Is it possible to remotely install new CA Certificates into a large number
of Mozilla installations without forcing users to do it manually?
Additionally, is there a way to script installation of individual user
certificates into the user's browsers, without their interaction? (Possibly
some form of automated PKCS12 import in a login script?)

Windows Administrators can use Active Directory to remotely populate the
Microsoft Certificate Store used by IE, I was wondering if a similar but
cross platform method of configuration management is possible for Mozilla.

Thanks,
Christopher Nebergall

Alright. This file is mentioned in the release note but the comment is
somewhat unclear.

Yes, it does. So I managed this way to get back all my passwords.

BTW, what is the format for obfuscation? Is it simple to convert it back
to plain text?

So far, when I want to refresh my memory (or my PDA): For HTML forms, I
have a bookmarklet to display the contents of the fields, but for
".htaccess" I would need a sniffer.
So if I can get a clear copy of my passwords, I can then GPG the file...
for later backup. But at least, I will backup the key3.db file.

Still true ;-)
