Open Source?

Since this is not being updated anymore, could it be put into Source
Forge?

Re: Open Source?

The entire source code is available under the Mozilla Public Licence.
There are instructions on how to pull it out of CVS on the website:
http://multizilla.mozdev.org/source.html

If anyone is able, feel free to fork the project to SourceForge, or even
join the project as it stands on MozDev. As the website says, patches
are gratefully accepted!

Raj.

Why? The source is already available on mozdev.

Hmmm, did not know that.

But a Source Forge project implies that it can be modified, source
control handles branches, etc.

I think that all we really want is an installer (at least that is my
hope) rather than extra features.

In case it wasn't clear one of the links on that page is:
"3. Do a CVS Checkout"
To the cvs source control system where the multizilla source resides.
But the problem isn't access to the source. It needs someone who
understands the code and how to fix it. By and large the people who
understand how the tabbrowser code work either already have their own
tabbrowser extensions (Tab Utilities, TabMixPlus) or are now working on
the Firefox tabbrowser code itself. Me, my current plan is to (slowly)
add the Multizilla features I use to the SeaMonkey tabbrowser code itself.

There should be a batch file somewhere in the source code that builds
the installer.

You could email HJ and ask for developer access to the multizilla cvs,
or ask if he agrees for someone to take over the project and copy the
source to SourceForge or GitHub or BitBucket. And good luck. There is
two years worth of bit rot in the code that you or someone needs to
modernize.
