Testing for bug 6940 required

Hi folks,
Can Linux users please test MultiZilla bug 6940
(http://bugzilla.mozdev.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6940). Please use
the steps to reproduce given in comment 3 and report the
Mozilla/Multizilla versions used.

I haven't been able to reproduce this bug on Windows (2000).

Cheers,
Raj.

Bookmarks won't close

Two difficulties encountered this past week since Multizilla v 1.7.7.0d
installation on Moz 1.7.8 with WinXP SP2:

1) Receiving a few popups daily which virtually never occurred
before, and popup blocker is turned on.

2) Bookmark drop down window: When additional drop downs are opened
(sub-folders), they will not easily close -- one to three windows remain
open even after opening Messenger on top of Navigator or opening Manage
Bookmarks . Usually can get the first main long BM window to close;
however, I click on the open windows several times and on other areas of
the web page or Bookmark Manager and for some reason it will finally
close the last one or two windows after about 10 clicks -- no rhyme or
reason. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a setting which
might alleviate it?

Please give us some examples of sites where this happens. Also,
have you added these sites to MultiZilla's popup permission
manager?

Steps to reproduce please? Do you mean the drop-down menu (the
"Bookmarks" menu between the "Go" and "Tools" menus at the top of
the window)? If so, I've opened a bookmark in nested folders
without any problems.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2)

I can't reproduce this bug neither!

What extensions do you have installed?

P.s. you should always check your javascript console for related JS errors.
Note: QPrefsMenu/JavaScript Settings/... should all be checked.

Multizilla improvement

Hallo, HJ van Rantwijk!
Writes to you admirer Multizilla from Russia.
I have idea on improvement Multizilla. For Firefox there is extensions
FileTitle, by means of which possible save web-pages not by name pages,
but using tag <title>- http://backup.mozilla.ru/other/filetitle01.xpi. I
have tried to alter it extensions that it worked with MozillaSuite, but
it has turned out very much bags. I changed the file
:\Program
Files\mozilla.org\Mozilla\chrome\comm.jar/content/communicator/contentAreaUtils.js
in MozSuite 1.7.3. Example of a code here -
http://backup.mozilla.ru/other/for-Moz-1.7.3.zip. Can at you it will
turn out to make runnable extensions on base Multizilla? There was very
good!

Something like this request already exists for Mozilla. See
Mozilla bug 173982
(https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=173982) for more
details.

As for incorporating this into MultiZilla, personally I would say
that it's not part of our remit, although, of course, this is at
the descretion of those writing the code :). If we /do/ decide
to go down this route, please make it optional, since I much
prefer having using filenames as the default.

Cheers,
Raj.

Have reproduced the bookmark window closure failure: It occurs only
when a site address is dragged from the location field to the "bookmark"
button in order to save that address as a BM.

I can now confirm this with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT
5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050613 MultiZilla/1.8.0.1m

I've filed bug 10714
(http://www.mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=10714) on this.
