MultiZilla version 1.6.3.1 revision A is released

Hi people,

I am a day late with this, but maybe you already noticed the story at: http://multizilla.mozdev.org/news/current.html
about our latest MultiZilla release (version 1.6.3.1A).

Your feedback for the new/improved Tab Session Manager is appreciated.

We also have a new slogan for MultiZilla: "The Best Has Yet To Come"
so keep tuned in and enjoy.

Note that nothing is what it looks from a distance, always look closer ;)

Gotta get some sleep now...

Enjoy,
/HJ

Anyone else experiencing the "chrome registration failed" error again
with this one? Or is it only me?

I guess this is a profile installation, right?

I didn't change the XPInstallation files in a long time, and it seems to happen for profile installations
only, so I don't know what is going on.

I got around this error by disabling the Multizilla extension and then
installing the newest version.

I rechecked install.js and I think I found something!

We aleady use DELAYED_CHROME for multi-user/global installations and PROFILE_CHROME only for profile
based installations. In short, there's no delayed chrome registration, and this could be our problem, so
I changed it into PROFILE_CHROME | DELAYED_CHROME. I hope this helps,

tab session manager problem

Hi, when I view the properties of a tabsession I get a window I can't close
anymore and it stays on top. I can only select previous or next tab. No
button to leave it and closing the tabsessionmanager doesn't work...

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113
MultiZilla/1.6.3.1a

Raj also noticed this and I already located/fixed the error. For now, make sure your window size (the first
one) is large enough (600*475) to display the buttons on the properties and prefs windows.

Tip: press ESC to close the window.

Say, can you please file a bug for this.

Thanks,
/HJ

OK.

Is it a MultiZilla or a Mozilla bug?

googlebox

Hello. I seem to have screwed up and tried to install Googlebox for
multiple users which had the effect of removing the working
Googlebox. I have tried to reinstall as a single user and that does
not work either. An ideas will be gratefully received. I have become
quite addicted to Googlebox and the withdrawal is not pretty to watch.

The easiest way to fix this is probably to reinstall from scratch.
Close down Mozilla (including QuickLaunch) before starting.

Note: I haven't tested this, so be sure to make backups of all files
deleted/altered.

* Go to <mozilla installation dir>/chrome/ and edit the file
installed-chrome.txt. Find all lines (if any) that refer to
Googlebox and remove them. Delete (or rename) chrome.rdf in the same
directory and delete the googlebox.jar file (if it exists).

* Go to your profile directory. See
http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.phtml?title=Mozilla_Suite_:_FAQs_:_Pro
file (all one line) for details of how to find your profile if you
don't already know). From the profile directory, remove
googlebox.jar and googlebox.rdf

* from the <profile dir>/chrome/ directory, delete (or rename) the
chrome.rdf file and delete the overlayinfo directory.

* Reinstall Googlebox from the website
http://multizilla.mozdev.org/installation.html
