Status update

G'Day people,

Here's my short status update. I recently fixed three bugs and so
MultiZilla v1.4.0.3F was born :D I am working on the View menu XUL/JS
for the next 1403G update. The context menu (button configuration) for
the MultiZilla toolbar can now also be used from the View menu. I also
changed "Personal Toolbar F10" in the View menu into a menu, and now you
can change the visibility for the Home Page, Bookmarks and
QuickPrefsMenu button from this menu. However, some JavaScript foo has
to be re-invented because I was so stupid to overwrite a modified
version of multiviewsUtility.js before making a backup of that file (-:

Our next upgrade, MultiZilla v1.4.0.4, will work (I hope that I can get
it working) with the new bookmark code from recent mozilla builds but I
am still trying to solve some nasty bugs. Do not forget, I am *not* a
programmer so it takes me a long time to fix it. But hey, why don't you
help me if you can? :-D

The main bookmarks menu 'already' works and we can startup without JS
errors on the JS console. So that is a first plus ;)

Oh, and *Yes* I do have my vacation right now, so I would like to see a
bit more daylight while I still can :D Man, I am painting HJ's house and
I already used 25 gallons of paint...I guess I need at least another 25
gallons, so I do have plenty other things to do ;)

Cheers mates,
-Neil.

Good news people. I found the missing file on HJ's CD. I couldn't find
the file before, because it had a totally different file name ;) The
View menu is now operational and I can re-start my work on the new
mozilla bookmarks source, pffff.

Cheers mates,
-Neil.

New multizilla and google bar problem

Hello,

I reinstalled newsest multizilla and googlebox. When I try to use google
search, and I type keyword into the search input box, it always looks on
search.netscape.com...also with I feel lucky. But not with groups,
images and other searches.

Any ides?

Good to hear, Neil.
So in the end you still got quite lucky, didn't you.
For further testing I need to fall a bit out of the loop, since I only can do it with
the 1.3 Release build.
The 1.4a Nightlies for OS/2 since some 10 days now, according to our software wizard
Mike Kaply, have some major, probably mostly VACpp related compiler issues and the
GCC also isn't ready yet to take over, still to buggy.

In the end, where did you leave more paint, in your face and on your clothes or on
the walls of HJ's house ;-)

Read this: ...Also, take a look on the GoogleBox pref panel to modify
the default GoogleBox settings....

I *must* update MultiZilla v1.4.0.3 with all possible bug fixes, as
requested by HJ per e-mail, so you're fine with mozilla 1.3 ;)

In the paint can :D

I am still cleaning the walls because that is a very important. Failure
to properly wash the surface is probably one of the most common causes
of premature paint failures, so I must do the dirty work before I start.

Most professionals will say: "Painting is a sweat equity project with 90
percent preparations and 10 percent painting" :-)

Focused tab after close tab

For some reason, the MZ -> Tabbar -> 'New Tab and Focus Order: close tab will switch
focus to the ...' Preference settings don't seem to work here on OS/2.
Despite the setting to left or right side tab, the focus always seems to be assigned
to the previously created tab or something like that.

Is the according setting in preferences for this 'multizilla.tabs.focus-order?

Unfortunately for this case, the tab hirarchy or order list, that once existed for a
short time in one of the earlier builds, isn't available any more.

Yes, I can see that in Windows too.
My MultiZilla is set to switch to the left tab, but it always switches
somewhere else (one more tab to the left?).
It's really weird.
