FBSD Mozilla 1.2.1 port question

Hi, I'm currently not on the list so please CC me in any response.

I have a few installs of Mozilla 1.2.1 with Multizilla 1.1.32 where Mozilla
was installed as a precompiled package. I'm now trying to install
Multizilla on Mozilla 1.2.1 that I've installed as a port (from source that
I've compiled). When I use the "install" link on the installations page I
get an error after it downloads to the effect of:

Aborting this Installation of MultiZilla 1.1.32 Beta 2

You need Mozilla { Build ID: 2002101708} for this installation
but you are using Mozilla {Build ID: 0} instead.
Visit www.mozilla.org and install a recent mozilla build!

Is there a way around this? Should I download it and install it manually?

I'm also trying to get Google Box to install but one step at a time.

Dan.

Re: FBSD Mozilla 1.2.1 port question

You can download an older version of MultiZilla from the archive link on
the installation page. You will have problems if you disregard the
warning about requiring a certain build or later.

Re: FBSD Mozilla 1.2.1 port question

FYI, I just opened up Mozilla 1.2.1, and the build number is 20021130.

too much junk

I'm sorry, but there is just way too much spam and junk mail going
through this mailing list. Whoever operates this list really ought to
step in and set up some kind of filter....anything to slow down the
garbage that is taking over the Multizilla mail list. I'm going to have
to unsubscribe because the amount of junk mail I get through this list
is getting out of hand

Re: too much junk

It doesn't seem nearly as bad if you subscribe to the newsgroup.

Out of hand?? I only get one or two junk mails from the MultiZilla
list every few weeks.

User Agent Spoofing

Hi, I am trying to use the User Agent Spoofing feature ,but can't seem
to get it to work. I have read the "Learn to setup a custom HTTP
userAgent" page (http://multizilla.mozdev.org/docs/spoofing.html). I
have tried to edit the localstore.rtf, and add the lines listed. I am
sure to shutdown mozilla first. When I restart mozilla, there seems to
be no change. The "Learn to setup a custom HTTP userAgent" still says
that my HTTP user agent identifier is " Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686;
en-US; rv:1.2.1) Gecko/20021130" There are also no changes to the quick
prefs menu. I am running Redhat 7.3, and am using Mozilla 1.2.1. The
Multizilla version I am using is 1.1.32 final. What should be
happening? Should I be getting a new menu that allows me to pick a new
user agent identifier? Any idea on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for your help!

Re: User Agent Spoofing

Does localstore.rdf still contain your changes?

Re: Re: User Agent Spoofing

Yes, I just retried it (I had removed the changes). I just re-edited
the localstore.rdf, started mozilla (no changes). When I stoped mozilla
again, the changes in localstore.rdf were still there.
