Copyright?

I was wondering if anyone knew what to put for the Copyright on Mozilla
documentation (like the Help menu, etc). Would it be Copyright (C) The
Mozilla Organization, or maybe Copyright (C) by Contributors to the
Mozilla codebase?

Sincerely,

R.J.

Question about Modifications

Does class extending other class, which is under MPL license, can be
treated as Modification under:
1.9.B. Any new file that contains any part of the Original Code or
previous Modifications.

New ISO fees on the horizon?

There isn't a legal group, so posting here.

CNET News.com: New ISO fees on the horizon?
http://news.com.com/2100-1032_3-5079256.html

Information technology standards groups are raising warning flags over
a proposal that could raise fees for commonly-used industry codes,
including two-letter country abbreviations, used in many commercial
software products.

At stake is a tentative proposal from the International Organization
for Standardization (ISO) to add usage royalties for several code
standards, a move that opponents say could weaken standards adherence
by forcing software providers to pay a fee for each ISO-compliant
product they sell. The standards--ISO 3166, ISO 4217, ISO 639--cover
country, currency and language codes, respectively.

Big change in Mozilla-license <at> mozilla.org mailing list

The Mozilla-license mailing list has just undergone a big change. It
is running on a new mailing list package called "Mailman". This will
hopefully solve a lot of problems that administering this list has
presented.

How does this affect you?

1) Mail intended for the whole list should be sent to:
mozilla-license <at> mozilla.org.

2) You have been given an arbitrary password to prevent others from
unsubscribing you without your knowledge. It will be mailed to you in
a separate email, which you may have already received. Don't worry if
you forget this password; a reminder will be sent to you via email
every month.

3) If you have World Wide Web access, you can use it any time to
unsubscribe from this list, to switch to and from digest mode, to
check back issues of the list (which will be available after the list
has been getting posts for a day or so), etc. The Web address for
these resources is:

    http://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mozilla-license

4) If you do not have WWW access, you can do these same things via
email. Send mail to mozilla-license-request <at> mozilla.org with a
subject or body containing just the word "help" (without the quotes).
You will receive an automated reply giving you further directions.

Please address any questions or problems with this new setup to:
mozilla-license-admin <at> mozilla.org.

This message was auto-generated by Mailman 2.0.13. For more
information on the Mailman software, visit the Mailman homepage at
http://www.list.org/

What do the source code files for JSS say? (And what exactly is JSS?
Java Security Services?)

If you want to assign your copyright to Mozilla, put (C) The Mozilla
Foundation (which is a legal entity and can hold copyrights.) Otherwise,
the copyright remains with you - exactly what happens in this case is
currently unclear.

Okay. I'm going to make the Help menu make the copyrights to mozilla,
since currently it says "Copyright (C) The Mozilla Organization."

Thanks for the clearing up!
