Vote for bug 68427

The W3C identified common problems (http://www.w3.org/TR/cuap) with
browser implementations. The first note on this was published in early
2001 and was just updated January 28th 2003.

Quite surprisingly, Mozilla suffers from some of these problems.

Please vote for meta bug 68427.

Thanks

Ask again - Anything work with old Netscape 4.7.1 calendar???

We (unfortunately) use at my company the OLD OLD OLD version of Netscape
Calendar 4.7.1. This is the one (according to the HELP) that is based upon
the old CS&T technology. I hate this calendar program (especially the
client based front end) but I don't know if and when my company will ever
migrate off this stupid thing.

In the meantime, as a side question, does anyone know of any other front end
calendar program that will work (or read and set) with this old 4.7.1
Netscape back-end server/system? Also, since I use MS Outlook 2000 as my
current email client, is there any MS Outlook add-on that anyone knows about
that will interface to this old Netscape Calendar server 4.7.1?

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tom

ANd what has that to do with the Mozilla open source project?
Nothing.

Your message is off-topic, as a previous post said.
Have you tried a search of google?

It depends on how you define "necessary". ;)

I would say he has demonstrated a sufficient level of knowledge of
newsgroups (by x-posting to newsgroups, something a "normal" user would
not be able to do) to justify my irritation at his blatant unmarked OT
x-posting. It's just plain inconsiderate. Even though his question
seemed honest and innocent, it doen't justify his (I suspect) conscious
decision to OT x-post (as opposed to EZ P-post?).

PS. Nobody speaks like they write. :-P

Re: Ask again - Anything work with old Netscape 4.7.1 calendar???

All right, all right, I get the message. Geez, I was just asking a
question, do you not think that is what newsgroups are for? No, 'Peter', you
are the idiot and the inconsiderate fool. It doesn't help Mozilla or any
other open-source project when morons like you flip out over people who
simply ask a question because they are trying to find out some info to
assist them with their problem... Isn't that what newsgroups are for? Or do
you just personally enjoy flaming people?

Yea, yea, I cross-posted to ONE other group - simply because I thought
others in the group might have an idea on this also. If that is a crime,
then I stand guilty. It is just a good thing that I like Mozilla so much -
because if I didn't I am sure that the 'superiority' attitude of people like
you would turn me off to a wonderful product.

OK, I'll look for my answer elsewhere. Guess I won't be using the Mozilla
Calendar anytime soon.

You x-posted to two other groups. However I agree that I simple message
like "you are off topic, look elsewhere" like Christopher and Russell
put forth are best.

> OK, I'll look for my answer elsewhere. Guess I won't be using the Mozilla

Problem is that you were not asking for a mozilla solution. You
asked for... "any other front end calendar program that will work (or
read and set) with this old 4.7.1 Netscape back-end server/system?"
and you also asked for... "is there any MS Outlook add-on". So it
doesn't appear that you had any intentions of using Mozilla
Calendar anyway.
