Edit, Preferences, Advanced, Scripts and plugins, under Allow scripts
to: uncheck Open unrequested windows

Perhaps you have image blocking from a third party piece of software, or 
manual entries in your hosts file? Or even from Mozilla itself?

Can anyone tell me how to edit the quote message in Mozilla 1.2 on 
Linux, I want something such as

Can't see where this feature is, and I want it for mail and newsgroups

Hang on 1.2 Preferences

Trying to enter EDIT -> PREFERENCES I hang Mozilla 1.2

I have tried renaming user and prefs .js to .bak with no success.

I see this occasionally, but not just with Mozilla. I think XP gets it's 
Z-order screwed up sometimes. Try Minimizing All (the Show Desktop icon 
on the Quick Launch bar, or Win-M) then restoring the windows one by 
one. WFM.

I messed up my "open action" for jpg file on my win98 box

Below are my current setting. Can somebody help correct my mistake.
