What do you expect me to answer to such a question? Enigmail is not the
right tool if you want to call an "external script" for any kind of
purpose; Enigmail is specifically made to work with inline-PGP and
PGP/MIME messages, processed by GnuPG. I.e. Enigmail needs the decrypted
or verified message, together with the GnuPG status output.

Actually I think the effort for doing this would be the same as for a
"real" (i.e. correct, clean) solution, but I doubt that I would accept a
patch for such a hack.

At best you could try to write a wrapper shell script around gpg.

GnuPG 1.4.8

Happy new year!

In December 2007 GnuPG 1.4.8 was released. I'm wondering, if this
version is now compatible to Windows Vista (key server problems)?

Yes, the fix for that issue has been in the subversion code repository from
about a week after 1.4.7 was released.

The best place to ask these questions is GnuPG-Users. You can find
information on that mailing list at http://www.gnupg.org. The Enigmail
list is a great place to ask about Enigmail questions--not necessarily
so much of a great place to ask GnuPG questions.

However, I asked this same question on GnuPG-Users just a couple of
weeks ago, so I'll tell you what David Shaw told me. :) 1.4.8 solves
the Vista keyserver problems.

How to send using a shared key

How do I use enigmail to send encrypted e-mail to a list using a
pre-communicated symmetric key?

Thanks,

There is no easy way to do this. There is almost certainly some way to
do this by tinkering with the command line, but that would be an awful
hack and should not be done except in the most extreme of circumstances.

Create a Per-Recipient Rule to the List address and specifying
Encryption using the List Key.
