LDAP for Adresses

Hi,

I recently decided, that we need a central adressbook here in our 
company (for all employees and if possible for Thunderbird and 
OpenOffice together).

Are the following two statements true:
1. it's only possible to share adresses with Thunderbirds through LDAP
2. the LDAP implementation of thunderbird can only read adresses, but is 
not able to *change/create* adresses

What do others do in such a situation?

adding jpegphoto with PHP

Hi,

I tried to add a jpeg image to the jpegphoto attribute with this code
(I find it in the forum) :

$fd = fopen($pathphoto, "r");
var_dump($fd);
$fsize = filesize ($pathphoto); 
$jpegStr = fread ($fd, $fsize); 
fclose ($fd);     
$attrs['jpegPhoto'] = $jpegStr;

When I see with LDAPBrowser there is a jpegPhoto attribute filled in
my entry with the message : "Error processing image".

Is anybody as an example with PHP. ?

Is the $jpegStr must be encode ?

[PerLDAP] - Bug in Mozilla::LDAP::Conn() ?

Can anyone else confirm the following to be a bug?

LDAP C SDK built Solaris 9, using perl v5.6.1

I'm attempting to read an LDIF entry from a file, strip out an attribute 
and add the resulting entry to our directory. After removing the 
attribute, i call the "add" method (see Mozilla::LDAP::Conn) and receive 
a segmentation fault.

Can anyone else reproduce this and/or confirm that it is a bug?

Mozilla LDAP C SDK on Itanium platforms

We're currently using Sun LDAP libraries v5.0.8, but evaluating
mozilla LDAP C SDK given that Sun does not provide binaries for a
number of platforms we're targetting.

Has anyone been able to build/use the Mozilla LDAP C SDK on Itanium
based Windows 2003, HP-UX 11.23 (11i v2), or Enterprise Linux?

LDAP C SDK release/version number

Hi,

The current "Checking out the code" instructions suggest to pull the
latest source under DirectorySDKSourceC. Is there a concept of
major/stable release? If so, what is its version number and is there
in cvs a tag (or some sort of reference) that I could use in future to
pull down the source corresponding to this release from the
repository?
