interface javax.net.ssl.SSLSocket

Hello

Where can I find this interface? I searched it everywhere in Mozilla Java
LDAP 4.0, Netscape Communicator 4.x and J2SE 1.4.2 documentation and couldnt
find it!

Where is this interface? I did find the class... but where is the interface?

Thanks in advance,

Fernando

LDAP schema extension for mozilla

Hi all,

I was fortunate enough to find bug 116692. In perusing the comments, it
sounds like the goal is to make this schema extension the official one
for mozilla. Is this effort still ongoing? Also, when will support for
the schema be implemented in the address book code?

I have my openldap server setup and noticed that the Mozilla address
book doesn't see the following attributes:

homePostalAddress:
postalAddress:

I'm using Netscape 7.1 (Moz 1.4) on Red Hat 8.0 but am seeing the
problem on Netscape 7.02 on Windows as well.

Is this a bug? Exporting a local address book entry to ldif format
seems to indicate that Mozilla does use these attributes. Yet they
don't show up. The attributes show up just fine in Outlook so the
attributes are definitely there.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Regards,
Edward

Re: LDAP schema extension for mozilla

Hi Edward,

here is the meta bug (
http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157928 ) for the LDAP
address book problem. You find here the linke to the 3 other related
bugs (one you already found ;-):

*) Define official Mozilla LDAP schema ( bug 116692 )
*) Change LDAP properties to be compatible / compliant with 'Official
Mozilla LDAP schema' ( bug 157925 )
*) Change LDIF export so it is compatible with 'Official Mozilla LDAP
schema' (bug 157926 )

Cheers
Rolanf

Re: LDAP schema extension for mozilla

Hi Roland,

Thanks for the information. That's very helpful.

I really hope integration of the new schema and code changes will happen
soon. Looking at the bugs, some of them have been around for a while.
I guess that's to be expected.

Do you know if the address book patch fixes the no-show of
homePostalAddress and postalAddress attributes in address book? At the
moment, I just want the very basic information to show up. The new
mozilla schema will certainly help but support for the base openldap
schemas should be consistent and reliable.

Are there other attributes from which Mozilla Address Book gets the home
address and work address values (i.e. something other than
homePostalAddress or postalAddress)? The city, state and zip attributes
all work fine.

Thanks.
Edward

Re: LDAP schema extension for mozilla

Hi Edward,

the following LDAP "home"-attributes will be supported by the patch:

Internal Name LDAP attribute

"HomeAddress" "homepostaladdress"
"HomeAddress2" "mozillahomepostaladdress2"
"HomeCity" "mozillahomelocalityname"
"HomeState" "mozillahomestate"
"HomeZipCode" "mozillahomepostalcode"
"HomeCountry" "mozillahomefriendlycountryname"
"HomeCountry" "mozillahomecountryname"

I hope it helps. After applying the patch all fileds in the address card
have a LDAP representation.

What is LDAP 2000 ?

Can anyone bring some light on whatever thing is called "LDAP 2000",
is it an attempt by the IETF to update LDAPv3 or is it someone else's
efforts to enhance the protocol ?

Just a curiosity thing.

Paul.

Re: What is LDAP 2000 ?

Did you take a look on this site : http://www.wwldap.org/

It seems to have some information on what you are asking.
