Quer ganhar dinheiro?

[VOCÊ JÁ IMAGINOU GANHAR R$ 25.000,00 EM MENOS DE 4 SEMANAS?? ACHA
tenho a perder fora 6 selos e R$6,00 ? É um negócio que dá pra
arriscar. Então eu mandei os DESPREZÍVEIS R$6,00. Bem, ADIVINHE?...

When will 1.5 be scheduled to be released?

Hello,

I've gone through a few pages in Lightning blog but I can't see
if there's anything about release schedule.

Is there any schedule for release? Something like every 4 months?

     Regards

Re: Standalone extension build

Thank you Philipp, that helped greatly! Of course we don't need
everything what Mozilla Build System provides and with introduction of
jsctypes we dropped all C++ code we had. On the other hand we also have
xpcshell tests. In addition, the way Mozilla Build System works with
IDLs and XPI packages is also nice despite it can be replaced easily.
The system is complicated, not well documented and to my measures
behind the times, but we would probably copy from it anyway, so why not
to use it.

After some digging I've found some useful articles on MDN which I
missed before like this one:
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Creating_XULRunner_Apps_with_the_Mozilla_Build_System
. After a while of playing with all this I realized it would be nice to
have something like Thunderbird + Lightning SDK because that's exactly
what one needs when he's building an extension with Mozilla Build
System. It's not a necessity because you can build it, but still. Are
there any plans for such thing?

Lightning 1.5 will be released with Thunderbird 13 this week. See
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Calendar/Calendar_Versions .

OK, thanks. So it's a certainty that from now on, every future
Lightning release will be adjusted to TB release, right? Because the
webpage you sent me is telling us about compatibility and past
releases.

Lightning has always been adjusted to the TB release. It wasn't that
obvious until the rapid release schedule went into production.

That webpage shows Lightning 1.4 as the current stable release for the
current Thunderbird 12.0 release.

That webpage also lists the development releases that work with the
development versions of Thunderbird, including the Beta, Earlybird, and
Daily. Also the ESR release compatibility.

It will change in the next couple of days to reflect the changes in
versions for both the application and the extension.

Thunderbird 13.0 is scheduled to be released tomorrow. Lightning 1.5
should also be released, but Lightning 1.5b2 works just fine now.

It can be found (at least today) under the Development Channel heading here;

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/lightning/

That page will most likely change by tomorrow.

Re: Standalone extension build

I doubt I will find time for this. If someone else wants to set up
automation to create such an SDK, then I'm open to that. This could be
discussed with the Thunderbird Team too, I'm not sure if they are
releasing an SDK currently.

Yes, sorry. I haven't let go of the hope that our webpage would be
overhauled soon (there is a bug open in Calendar::Website called
"Overhaul Everything").

I'll hopefully take care of this with Lightning 1.5, which is due
tomorrow. Then I'll also write a new blog post, which I should have done
earlier too.
