IIUC, Lightning (a Thunderbird extension) has no separate profile
outside Thunderbird's; Sunbird (a self-standing Calendar application)
has its own profile whose exact location depends on the OS: on Linux it
is by default at ~/.mozilla/sunbird/xxxxxxxx.default/ where xxxxxxxx is
some pseudorandom string and "default" is the profile name. See

Thanks, but I knew that already (after a lot of searching and
trial-and-error). My original point was that this info needs to be
readily available in a FAQ.

calendar-summary-dialog supports subset of valid participant statuses

The task / event update dialog (calendar-summary-dialog) does not
allow the user to select the full range of participant statuses as
specified by RFC 2445 for VEVENT and VTODO. Only ACCEPT, DECLINED,
NEEDS PROGESS are available. I suspect this is because this form was
conceived for responding to invitations.

However, there doesn't seem to be another way to open a task and set
the other valid statuses. Are there any plans to open this up?

Also, there is no way on this form to open the attachment URL (the URL
provided) is the URL property - have just filed a bug report on
inconsistent use of URLs.

Duplicating Remote Calendars on anoth PC

I want to "copy" all my Google CalDAV calendars and their settings to
another PC without having to re-subscribe to them and set them all up
(name & color) all over again on the other PCs.

Can I do this by merely copying storage.sdb to the other PC?

Thanks!

It should work as long as you use the same Sunbird/Lightning version
on both PC. Currently "storage.sdb" contains the list of calendars,
corresponding settings and events/tasks from local calendars. Other
calendar preferences are stored in the user preference file
"prefs.js" in your profile folder.

Howto build Sunbird for MS Windows with freeware tools

Hello,
I was tryed to build Sunbird 0.9, but I can't find any information
howto do this with free tools, as I understand I can't build with
VisualStudio 2005/2008 Express, and should use VC6 or Visual C++ 2003,
but they are only commercial versions, if I wrong please tell me.
I have downloaded PSDK and there were directory [C:\Program Files
\Microsoft SDKs\Windows\v6.0\VC\Bin\] with cl.exe (Microsoft (R) 32-
bit C/C++ Optimizing Compiler Version 14.00.50727.762 for 80x86) and
ml.exe (Microsoft (R) Macro Assembler Version 8.00.50727.762) are they
in proper versions for use as VC6?
or maybe have You used Visual C++ Toolkit 2003?, if yes how can I use
it?

sorry for poor english

best regards, Gregory

Re: Howto build Sunbird for MS Windows with freeware tools

Yes, it is possible to build with free tools only, at least when
building Sunbird 1.0pre. For building Sunbird 1.0pre on Windows XP I
use the free MozillaBuild package, the free Visual C++ 2005 Express
Edition and the free Microsoft Windows Vista SDK.

See <https://developer.mozilla.org/En/Build_Documentation> and
<https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Comm-central_source_code_(Mercurial)>
on how to setup a Sunbird 1.0pre build.

Sunbird 0.9 - system date format in day view instead program date format

Hi,

I'm localizing for Esperanto and Upper Sorbian. For these 2 languages
Windows OS locales doesn't exist. My Windows OS language is German.
Sunbird should use the language of the program locale, thus Esperanto
resp. Upper Sorbian. In week view, multiweek view and in month view this
works. But in day view Sunbird uses the OS Language, thus German.
But, also day view should use the locale language of Sunbird.
