RE: Cascades 0.1.5 - scrolling/window resizing and saving external linked

Daniel,

Build win2k Mozilla 1.1 build 2002080711 and the newest cascades from today
(although I am a little bit confused since
http://cascades.mozdev.org/installation.html# apparently is still on v0.1.5
at least with the alert window).

CaScadeS is not working on linux?

Hi,

I am not able to run CaScadeS on Linux. I have tried it on Mozilla 1.0 and
1.1b with no success. However, the installation goes fine.

Any ideas why it is not working? Can I do something to help you with this?

Cheers,
Juha

Re: CaScadeS is not working on linux?

Hi again,

I just figured why it didn't work. On a multi user enviroment the
installation must be done by root. So, regular users are not able to
install CaScadeS. I have not seen any mention about this.

Pleace make an installation note about this.

Is this problem just CaScadeS centric or does this apply to other xpi
installations? At least the installation should fail if normal user tries
to install application. Should I report this to bugzilla?

Cheers,
Juha
