Unable Monitoring Linux Server

Hi,

I tried to monitor linux server using zenoss 2.2.4. SNMP has been installed on my Linux server, but why the
graphic performance status still doesn't appear on zenoss Perf tab??

In the events tab all status are Error reading value for "memBuffer" on FREQUENTLINE SRV-1 (oid
.1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.14.0 is bad)

any sollution for this?

Regards

Re: gui audio alert revisited

Hello,

I'm interested in this feature too. Can give this DOS-Command a solution?

Code:
sndrec32 /play /close /embedding c:\windows\media\chimes.wav

Use it in an alert-rule?

Re: Two questions on HTTP/HTTPS IpService monitoring

Thanks a lot for your previous posts. I believe I have managed to setup the template using your
instructions. I did the following:

* Navigate to /Devices/Server/Linux
* Select the  Templates tab
* Select 'Add Template...' from the Available Performance Templates dropdown menu
* Name (ID) the new template: IndexPageCheck
* Select the freshly created IndexPageCheck template
* Select 'Add Datasource...' from the Data Sources dropdown menu
* Name (ID) the new datasource: IndexPage
* Set the type to: HttpMonitor
* Select 'Add Graph...' from the Graph Definitions dropdown menu
* Name (ID) the new graph: ResponseTime
* Select 'Add Datapoint...' from the Graph Points dropdown menu
* Highlight IndexPage_time

That all worked, however when I select a device in the /Server/Linux class I don't find any graphs on its Perf
tab. Does that mean I did something wrong? Where do I find the monitored data?

Thanks a lot so far.

Re: Two questions on HTTP/HTTPS IpService monitoring

Ok, I forgot to bind the template. I was under the impression that creating the template for the class
/Device/Server/Linux would automatically apply this template to all devices in this class, but
apparently not.

Re: Two questions on HTTP/HTTPS IpService monitoring

After binding the IndexPageCheck template to /Devices/Server/Linux the ResponseTime graph is now
working correctly. However, all devices in this class have lost their other graphs (CPU, memory, etc.). :(
