Bounty for Features?

Hello All,

My boss really REALLY wants functional layer 2 support with some sort of automatically generated visual
bandwidth diagram.

He is willing to pay a lot (>$1000 USD) of money for this feature. I'm sure other CTOs would also chip in for
this feature. (And other features as well).

Is Zenoss active in any open source bounty projects? Or if not, would the Zenoss community be interested in
starting a bounty program for new features/device support/zenpacks/etc?

ntop is your friend.

Placement for any layer2 monitor is critical, however, unless you're
using netflow/sflow - both of which ntop supports.

Re: Zenhub and Zenactions wont start.

I just had the same problem when I upgraded from 2.2.0 to 2.2.3.

Fix it by creating a symlink at /var/run/mysqld/mysql.sock pointing to /usr/local/zenoss/mysql/tmp/mysql.sock

Are you on Ubuntu?

Re: Zenhub and Zenactions wont start.

Manually starting mysqld as root using "/usr/local/zenoss/mysql/scripts/ctl.sh start" fixed this for me.

Re: HOW TO LOAD MIBS INFO!!!

That MIB depends on other MIBS, you need to also install MIB SNMPv2-SMI
and SNMPv2-TC (and their dependencies, if any)

Monitoring ICQ usage in Zenoss

I need a way to monitor ICQ usage (primarily logon/logoff) as part of Zen. I can get ICQ listed as part of the
software list, but I need to get network usage.

Any ideas?

What exactly do you mean with functional layer 2 support and some sort of automatically generated visual
bandwidth diagram?
