Re: sms_client timeout

I think that's the case if sms_client can't establish a phone / isdn connection to the sms-center.

Pageone UK number change

Hi,

I'm not sure who to inform of this but thought this list would be a good
place :)

The phone number for the Pageone UK service has changed. The current
number in the services file is '01523530300'. This number gives a number
unobtainable tone when you dial it.

This number is still in the smsclient-2.0.9a.tar.gz file, I dont know if
its been fixed anywhere else.

According to this page:
http://www.ukphoneinfo.com/cgi-bin-Phones/nng?GNG=01523&Submit=Submit
the 01523 range was migrated to 07623 instead.

I tried changing this in the services file (to 07623530300) and it seems
to work fine.

If this is not the place to inform of this (so someone can update the
file in the downloadable version) can someone let me know who I should
inform?

Cheers,

Colin Petrie

sms server component: anyone using it ?

Hi,

I'm using smsclient together with nagios.

sometimes, when a lot of alerts need to be sent out, a lot fo smsclient processes are waiting for the active process to be finished, and as a result, we have had cases where the events are actually sent out in the wrong order (first, you get the 'everything ok' message, and afterwards you get the 'critical problem' alert for the same incident).

To avoid this, i was looking for a way to queue the message so that smsclient would process them as FIFO (first in first out).

I noticed that the source contained a server and a queue subdirectory, but it's hardly documented, and it doesn't get built automatically.

Is someone using smsclient in this way, and how does it actually work (is it stable ?).
or perhaps some people have other suggestions to my problem ?

regards,

Tom.

O2?

Hi all,
is there someone on this list who did a resource file for accessing the german
cellphone provider "O2"? If so, I'd be happy if you'd share it with me and
the list :D

	Thanks in advance,
