Daily limit countdown of applet keeps counting when computer is locked

Daily limit countdown of applet keeps counting when computer is locked. So, if I lock computer, go away, return in several hours, my daily limit will be reached, even if I really worked only for a couple of minutes.
I think it's a bug.
It happens if I have no microbreaks and breaks set.
Tick "Natural break when computer is locked" does not influence it.

Indeed, sounds like a bug.

This is a scenario very few people use I think. I will check if I can
reproduce this bug.

Which version of Workrave are you using? If 1.9.3 or earlier: Is the
'Suspend timer when inactive' for the daily limit enabled? For 1.9.4, did you
enable the reading mode? Also, is 'Regard micro-breaks as activity' for the
daily limit enabled?

Keyboard strokes/mouse clicks ratios

Hi,

just started using Workrave and having a general question: using the
keyboard instead of the mouse whenever reasonable is in my opinion also
some kind of RSI prevention. So I was wondering if anyone knows average
ratios for a heavy mouse user, a heavy keyboard user and an average
user.

My ratio of keyboard strokes versus mouse clicks on the first day is
3.6. What does that make me?

How to get the applet toolbar?

Hi,

I'm using the (latest) portable version of Workrave on Windows but I
don't have the applet toolbar (likely because I did not install
Workrave).

Is there any way how to get the applet toolbar - registering a DLL or
so?

I think this depends much more on the activity you are performing (web
browsing vs writing documents, for example) than the user.

I did a quick check, and over the last two weeks, my ratio varies from
0.6 to 15. Of course this is my home computer. It has some days with
very little usage, so it might not be statisticaly significant.

arguments for having key bindings for the postpone button.

You need to register 'workrave-applet.dll' (or workrave-applet64.dll in 64bit
system) using 'regsvr32 workrave-applet.dll'. This requires admin rights a
believe.

This feature can be turned off in 1.9.4 (Preferences/Timers/Restbreak/Start
natural break when screen is locked).

You should be able to skip/postpone the natural break; even if you disabled
the skip/postpone buttons (In 1.9.3 the skip/postone buttons where also
disabled in the natural break, this bug has been fixed in 1.9.4)

Some people requested this feature because they often spoil their natural
break because they resume working too early.

Diagrams for statistics

Hi,

does anyone know of attempts to export the statistics about breaks and
activity that Workrave gathers and create nice diagrams from that (per
day for instance)?

The background is that I'd like to analyze bad patterns in my behaviour
and self-motivate me via diagrams which are easier to grasp than raw
numbers.

Workrave 1.9.4 dependencies

Why does Workrave require the development versions of its various dependencies?
