Re: No stiched image from hugin when type set to Tiff

The images are 12 x 1M (shot) so not may K each there is 1Gb of memory
in the machine so should be ok I'd have thought. I've not tried running
Enblend on the single images try that next.

SC.

autopano-sift on OS X

I am having problems getting autopano-sift running on OS X following
the instructions that came with HuginOSX. I installed
MonoFramework-1.1.13.8. I downloaded autopano-sift-2.4.

The command line

/usr/bin/mono generatekeys-sd.exe image1.JPG image1.JPG.key.gz 800

fails with

Unhandled Exception: System.TypeInitializationException: An exception
was thrown by the type initializer for System.Drawing.GDIPlus --->
System.DllNotFoundException:
/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/1.1.13.8/lib/libgdiplus.dylib

... and I have no clue what to do next.

Any help appreciated.

Alan

Is the file mentionned above installed?

autopano-sift need libgdiplus to be installed, and here on my Ubuntu system it
is a separate package. I suspect it might be the same on MacOS X.

Sorry I don't know more given the love I have for Mono

Yes.

/Library/Frameworks/Mono.framework/Versions/1.1.13.8/lib/libgdiplus.dylib

exists.

Re: autopano-sift on OS X

I've seen one before.
Mono's configuration for some releases are broken. Just try other
versions.
I have 1.1.17.1 and works fine. Have to report bug to Mono once again :(

Re: autopano-sift on OS X

I got

Mono 1.1.17.1_2 Framework - ppc (Latest)

to replace

Mono 1.1.13.8_0 Framework - ppc (Stable)

and now it works.

Thanks

Alan

Because it isn't open source software and can't be put in the
sourceforge download system.

You will find it on a mirror of professor Dersch's website:

Note that the hugin-0.6.1 windows binary is built against
libpano12-2.8.4 which in turn doesn't work with PTStitcher.exe.

So if you want to have the latest hugin working with PTStitcher you
need to figure out a way of having two versions of the pano12.dll
file on your system.

..or wait for the next hugin release which will probably be built
against libpano12-2.8.5 which *should* be ok with PTStitcher.

hugin static libraries

A question for Pablo really.

I'm submitting hugin for inclusion in fedora (libpano12 is already
in) and I've been asked about the number of libraries in hugin that
all get statically linked:

  src/foreign/vigra_impex/libvigra_impex.la
  src/vigra_ext/libvigra_ext.la
  src/jhead/libjhead.la
  src/common/libcommon.la
  src/Panorama/libpanorama.la
  src/hugin/libhuginwxutils.la

(Fedora policy is to dynamically link everything)

I can see that this stuff isn't intended to be exported and vigra is
in there because it is modified and shouldn't be exported. Would
there be any advantage to building some of these as dynamic
libraries or is this just a matter of programming style?
