[protege-discussion] Re: Forms change after ontology is saved to Oracle

I have had the same problem [in some recent experimentation that I was
doing]; however, I hadn't gotten around to seeing what was going wrong.
In my case, most all of the form definitions are in a single "included"
project. I haven't tested if that makes a difference though (i.e., the
problem occurs if the form definitions are mostly/only in the outter
most project), but I thought that I would point it out. In my case, the
database backends tested were MySQL and HSQLDB.

[protege-discussion] unorm.icu

Hi
Anybody knows a file "unorm.icu". When I run a JTP application for
loading an OWL file, a warning message "data/icudt30b/unorm.icu
can not be found" occurs. please help in this case by sending me
a copy of such file or other information.

Re: WebDAV enabled Multi-User OWL Backend plugin - Discussion

Thanks for the details Joey.

Sounds interesting... it does raise the issues of an OWL file being both an
ontology and a KB!

I would have thought that although you can lock on the class level you
might still get a problem with cross-links through properties. Eg. someone
changes how properties link or what type can be on the end while someone
else changes the class itself. These dependencies can be managed via a
test-before-check in procedure. Obviously the problem we face on any
complex software project but perhaps with a much smaller aggregation level.

Out of interest.. how many concurrent Ontologists and Technologists do you
plan to cater for?

Cheers,
Jon

[protege-discussion] Re: Dynamic Classification in OWL-DL and RACER

Hi Jim,

I agree with Randy - if you're not using the latest version of the OWL
plugin please do so. If you want to send me your ontology, or post it
on this list I'd be happy to take a look at it.

Cheers,

Matthew.

[protege-discussion] For each insert instance I'ld like the description of violated Constraint (if violated)

Good morning, since now I insert an new instance in the knowledgeBase
and I can view if this instance is violated or not violated but my target is
obtain the description of constraint or constraints violated by instance just

I'm working with Protégé java API and my operate is only in java code.

Problemreport: selecting rdfs range-type deactivates combobox

Hi,

I have a problem using the current beta version of the owl-plugin. After selecting a rdfs-property with no
range definition and then selecting the range "Class" or "String", the combobox gets deactivated. So I
cannot change the range-definition once I have selected it. Is this behavior intendend (why?) or is this a
problem with the plugin?

Thanks,
Bodo

I have to correct my problem report:
The described use-case is restricted to selecting "Class" as range of a rdfs-property.

[protege-discussion] OWL Plugin and persistence management

Hi to everybody.
Does anybody know how to extend OWL Plugin?
I must develop a plugin that it supports owl (OWL Plugin do it) but that
manages the persistence in different way.
I want to load and save owl and rdf ontologies through my system of
management of RDF models and ontologies.
How do I do it?
Thank you
Daniele.

You may want to take a look at the source code of the facet-contraint tab.
