Hi all,

I wonder if there is a way to do this in GW:

I am having a secretary input all items from the College's calendar onto a Groupwise Calendar that has been shared with her from a dedicated 'calendar' Groupwise account (read/write). That shared calendar will eventually get shared with all staff (read only). Each item from the paper school calendar is being entered by the secretary as a posted reminder note on the appropriate date. That part is all OK.

It would be nice to tell my users that all they need to do is look at their Main Calendar view and be able to overlay/sum the calendar being shared to them by checking the box that would otherwise appear against a Calendar View that they had setup themselves. Is the inability of Groupwise to handle integrating shared calendar views with a user's main calendar view a known limitation?

Am on Groupwise client 7.0.3.

Thanks, John.

Hmmm. I guess I interpreted "print" to mean when you send the job to the
print server, not when it is actually released and sent to the printer.

Yeah, I found that, and it's set - but according to documentation that turns out to mean how long it's held

clearing iprint queues

Hi all

We have our printers set on user hold, so student jobs go into the queue where they can be released manually
either from the client machine or from a dedicated machien that sits next to the printer with the print
queue showing. This saves heaps of paper when prints are accidentally sent to the wrong printer, or the
student hits print and then remembers they want to change something.

Problem is, the queues fill up with unwanted jobs. What we're wondering is whether there's a way to script
emptying the queues at the end of each day. Anyone know of a way we can do this?

If you're on iPrint (Manage Printer -> Configuration -> Job Holds), you
can set the maximum period to hold a job for.

Windows 7 editions

Quick question. For those schools who are looking into Windows 7, are you looking at deploying the
Professional Edition, or the Enterprise edition? (Assuming you have a choice in the matter). There are a
few extras with Enterprise, but unsure if they're really worth the extra $$ for the majority of normal
day-to-day use?

Cheers.
