links to multiple subfields?

Hi everyone

We're in the process of evaluating whether we will go ahead and migrate to Koha. As part of this
evaluation, we need to find out whether it is possible for either Koha links to point to more than a
single subfields, or for searches to point to more than a single Koha link. For example, we would
like to have a 'name' search that points to the following tags/subfields:

100$a
700$a
800$a
110$a
710$a
810$a
111$a
711$a
811$a
720$a

Is it possible to do this in Koha? And if so, how do we do it?

Regards,
Carlos.

KOHA translation

Dear all,

I work with Mrs. Zendulkova. We are working on translation of Koha into
Slovak language. The translations are done via script
/scripts/misc/tmpl_process3.pl.

We have translated Opac css, and saved the Slovak translation into
opac-html/opac-tmpl/css/sk and we have set the opaclanguages on the value
sk via Parameters - System preferences - OPAC. It is working now without
any problems.

We would like to know how to proceed with intranet Koha. The translation
is saved in /intranet-html/intranet-tmpl/default/sk. We do not know how
to change the language preferences for intranet.

We have translated 90% of Opac css, at the moment we are eliminating the
defetcs. There are translated cca 60% of Intranet Koha (default) .

Kind regards

Z3950 search error

Dear all,

Our librarians couldn’t make z3950 search.  It was working fine until some one updated our apache httpd file.  But I managed to correct everything with the exception of z3950.  What I did is upgrade koha to the same version as before to 2.2.9.  Next I copied the searcresult file from the default template to the NPL (because I am using the NPL and it doesn’t work if not replaced by the default searchresult.

OS: redhat enterprise linux as3

Template: NPL

The error log looks like:

Also with Parameters - System preferences - OPAC - "opaclanguages"
I think it is some wrong with permissions on
[/intranet-html/intranet-tmpl/default/sk]

Printing spine labels

Hi all

I am new to Koha and have two problems with my installation of Koha 2.2.7 on
Win XP.
The first one is that when I load the default or personalized cataloguing
page the page hangs with the "Please wait while page loads" status at top. I
have to reload the page several times to clear the message. Any clues?

Secondly is a problem with printing spine labels. When I open the PDF from
the selected records I can see an ISBN and item type printed but not the
call number. A similar problem has been discussed before on the list and I
have tried the solutions suggested such as adding the ::BASIC:: to the
barcodeGenerator.pl file without success. Any other suggestions would be
gratefully received.
thanks
Karen Myers

Thanks, Chris. Sorry for the slow reply.
I'm wondering if our db is just corrupt.
I've been trying to convince the committee
to just start with a fresh db, but if we do that
they want to switch from KOHA so, I thought
I should pursue the problem some more.

It seems that all of the dropdowns
are empty in every field. I tried to look at
different tables, etc., and could not find any
case where the page with the drop downs had
content to select.

Does your company ever repair koha db's for a fee?

Any more ideas? I am very grateful for your help.

A Round About Way? Re: Continued Migration Woes

Coming at this from a different angle, is there
anyway I could just export the entries into a
different format (despite the problems in my
DB) and then reimport them into a fresh install
of the latest version of KOHA?

Thanks,
Tim

Problems with MARC configuration

Hi! When I start MARC check, this is the problem, which occurrs. How can I
solve it?

Item fields

ALL items fields MUST :

be mapped to the same tag,
and they must all be in the 10 (items) tab
