I have now been looking into this problem that prevents the animation
feature from working under Windows Vista, and it turns out that it is a
problem in Windows Vista in Video for Windows. Microsoft has been aware
of the problem since October 2006.

Fortunately the problem has been fixed in Windows Vista Hotfix KB938979,
which currently is in beta test. I expect it to be available on Windows
Update within a few weeks.

problem with version 4.2

Dear all,
why the software is not able to calculate the area from 2 to 100000 of (ln
x) / sqrt(x^3) : must be about 4 and not 9.xxx !!!???

Bug: Trigonometry functions in relations always use radians

With the axis setting Degrees,

The function
f(x)=sin(x)
gives the following:
x	f(x)
0	0
15	0,2588
30	0,5000
45	0,7071
60	0,8660
75	0,9659
90	1,0000
105	0,9659
120	0,8660
135	0,7071
150	0,5000
165	0,2588
180	0

But the relation
y=sin(x)
are using radians!
x	f(x)
0	0
15	0,6503
30	-0,9880
45	0,8509
60	-0,3048
75	-0,3878

It seems to be a problem with Simpson's formula, which Graph uses to
calculate the area. The area seems to run wild when range gets too
large. I plan search for a better algorithm when I find the time.

Yes, the trigonometry setting apparently doesn't have any effect for
relations. Fortunately it has already been fixed in the beta version of
Graph 4.3, which is to be released any day now.
You can find it at http://padowan.dk/graph/DownloadBeta.php

Graph is a native Windows application and will not run directly on a
Mac. You will have to use some kind of Windows emulator.

Question about plotting exponential decay

Dear Sir,

An exponential decay function should never reach zero no matter how long the time is.   However, it is hardly to see it on the graph, that is, the graph seem to always overlap with the x-axis.  Any method a correct this problem?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Sorry, but I fail to see the problem. Graph will show that the function
gets infinitely close to zero. Visually it may look like the function
touches the x-axis, but that is because your screen has to low a
resolution. If you zoom in on the function you will see that it never
reaches zero.
