I just wanted to say that I love your program!

I was going to ask about making it easier to toggle the visibility status of
a function, then noticed you've already done it for the next version!

I'm an engineer turned math-teacher. I'm just finishing my student teaching,
and I have used your program quite a bit to show students examples of
everything from conic sections to the inverse relationship between exponential
functions and logarithms. Being able to set up a list of functions ahead of
time, then toggle them on and off using a wireless mouse lets me move around
the classroom instead of being stuck at the board or the overhead projector.
And if students have questions or suggestions about things to try, I just step
up to my laptop and we give it a shot. It was particularly useful when I set
up a file for a conic section ahead of time and had a set of points/lines to
show the foci, vertices, aymptotes, etc of the different curves.

Thank you very much for all your work.

Copy & Paste Problems

Graph Support:

I downloaded the padowan graph.  Did the graph.  But had trouble copying and pasteing it to a word document for a homework assignment.  Need assistance as to how to accomplish this proceedure.

Our tech support at U of Phoenix was unable to accomplish this also.

Proceedure used was to Paint, Edit & Paste.  It was also suggested that I use Alt, print screen, also shift & print screen.  Nothing worked.  HELP!

Re: Copy & Paste Problems

The tech support at UoP are very helpful, but don’t know how to work programs outside their expertise.  Happily, it is much easier than what was suggested to do what you are asking!

In Graph, simply click on Edit | Copy Image, then in your word document type ctrl-C (or Edit | Paste).

It can be done even easier, however!  Start in your word document and click Insert | Graph system.  Graph will be fired up, and after you are done and close Graph the image will be put into your document.  How sweet is that?!  Also, if you decide you need to change your graph, double click on it and it will take you back into Graph!

Just a minor correction: Edit|Paste in Word is Ctrl+V.

Just to avoid confusion, it is Insert|Object in the menu and select
"Graph system" in the dialog.

You just write x^2, i.e. you use a caret(^) to indicate power.
