SIAM Workshop on CSC

Dear Colleagues:

Here's the announcement for the CSC04 workshop.
We hope you will attend our inaugural meeting and help shape the
future agenda of our community.
We are also attempting to reach out to related communities
with interests in CSC such as applied algorithms,
combinatorial matrix theory, and computational applications
that would benefit from combinatorial algorithms.
Please help us disseminate this announcement
by letting me know of list serves or electronic communities
that would be interested.
Please also let us know of ideas you have for making this meeting
a success. Thanks.

SIAM Workshop on Combinatorial Scientific Computing (CSC04)
February 27-28, 2004,
Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco, CA
In conjunction with The SIAM Conference on Parallel Processing for
Scientific Computing (SIAM PP04)

Combinatorial algorithms play a key supporting role in many aspects
of scientific computing. Examples include orderings for sparse
direct methods, graph colorings and partitioning for parallel
computing, geometric algorithms in mesh generation and string
algorithms in computational biology. The enabling importance of
