Hello everyone,

It doesn't sound like good news to me and some of my trainees, as it
means less test centers, and none near.

For example, as there was a Prometric center very near, and no Pearson
Vue center, it will cause some of my students to travel for about 250 km
more to pass LPI exams.

I agree with Eric. LPI should have considered the number of test centers of Pearson & Prometric. We have 6 Prometric centers in our city but only 3 or 4 Pearson VUE center in Pakistan.

Desagree, is a value for LPI to have 2 test center.

Re: [LPI-CertNews] Linux Professional Institute Focuses Exam Delivery at Pearson VUE

All:

Thank you for your feedback.

The reasons for moving to Pearson VUE are outlined briefly on our FAQ on
this subject:
http://www.lpi.org/linux-certifications/faq/single-vendor-testing

Internally, this move will generate administrative efficiencies and even
cost savings for LPI. As well, we are also exploring innovative
marketing opportunities with VUE which this exclusive service now makes
possible.

However, we are working diligently with Pearson VUE to address issues of
accessibility. Please feel free to contact us at info <at> lpi.org should
you have challenges of this nature and your local/regional Pearson VUE
representative.

New Exam Versions July, 2012 ... can you still take Old exam?

Hi

I understand a new exam version will come out on July 2nd.

Will testers have the option of taking the old exam for a
period of time?

thanx

If past experience is anything to go by, then no.

But this is probably not a big thing, at least for LPIC-1. If you're well-
prepared for the old version of the exam, you ought to pass the new version
too.

«We want to simplify the overall testing experience. » Not the LPI
candidate's testing experience, I'm afraid.

Why didn't you bother to solicit a feedback before taking such a
decision?
