The problem with the Kontact-like interface is that it's using too much space
that could be used for other things. I'm a great fan of minimalistic
interfaces that leaves as much room as possible for the important things.
This is why my vote goes to the dropdown list.

Luma 1.5 release on the way

Hi All,
It's time to get a new Luma release out. The template plugin got a big
update and should be more usable now. Users of screens with a small
resolution should be happy to hear that Luma is able to run in less
than 800x600 size on startup.
The Massive User Creation plugin was never really usable because it
assumed some default automount values which are not present in most
directories. Now you can enable/disable automount and specify its
values. Also, many other bugs have been fixed. A more complete list
will be published for the release.

A pre-release version of Luma 1.5 can be found at
http://home.tu-clausthal.de/~ifwd/luma/luma-1.5_pre6.tar.bz2

The current translation files can be found at
http://home.tu-clausthal.de/~ifwd/luma/translations/
If your language file is missing or you want to start a new
translation, please mail me or the luma-i18n mailing-list.

My intend is to do the release in two weeks, which is 1. November, 2004.
I encourage everyone to test the release candidate as much as
possible, to find bugs I may have missed and to be sure this will be
another great release :)
