Using SSH Public Keys

How to I use the public key option? I have copied and pasted my public key into the appropriate field. Now I want my boxes to use it, I am using CentOS 5 what do I need to do to configure that to work?

Thanks,

Auto Username format

auto-username from given-name - ID: 2492675

Can I change the format that the user name is? I would like it to be firstname.lastname rather than firstinitalLastname

the automatically filled user name is only meant as suggestion. E.g. it
is not checked for duplicates. At the moment there are no plans to
provide a configurable format for this suggestion.

Lamdaemon: read quotas timeout

Hello,

I'm trying to set up lamdaemon to use quotas, but on the lamdaemon test
everything works fine except the read quotas part which always writes
timeout.
I followed the D appendix step by step.
To the server list i put: 127.0.0.1:LOCAL
My path to external script was: /var/www/lam/lib/lamdaemon.pl
My admin user has a posixAccount on the objectClass and an uid attribute.
I've tested the sudo, with sudo -l: User admin may run the following
commands on this host: (root) NOPASSWD: /var/www/lam/lib/lamdaemon.pl
I've installed the quota perl module: Quota is up to date (1.6.4).
I've installed libssh2, and tested with a phpinfo page:
SSH2 support	enabled
extension version 0.11.0-dev
libssh2 version 0.18
I've put yes to my sshd.conf at PasswordAuthentication and restarted
sshd server.
On the lamdaemon test i always get a timeout at read qoutas.
Please give me some information on how to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance,

Peter Toth

this looks like there is some problem with the quota system or the Perl
quota extension. Please check if you have installed perl-quota.
Can you manage the quotas with the standard command line tools like
quotatool?

q: IMAP Dovecot LDAP integration

Hi

I am looking for an IMAP server to integrate with PHP LDAP Admin.
Dovecot, besides being a nice IMAP server, sounds promising as it
natively supports LDAP. (/etc/dovecot/dovecot-ldap.conf)
Is there anyone who has any experience in using PHP LDAP Admin with
Dovecot or some other IMAP server?
I am looking not just for a LDAP auth mechanism but for a way to manage
the creation of mailboxes/mailusers too.

Thanks in advance.
Olaf

at the moment Pavel is working on an Cyrus plugin which allows to manage
the mailboxes. This is not based on LDAP but uses IMAP commands to
manage the mail boxes.

If Dovecot supports LDAP out-of-the-box this is even better. It would be
possible to add another plugin to LAM which supports this. If you are
interested in developing a plugin or sponsoring the development just
contact me.
You can also create a feature request for this:
