ArgoEclipse differs from ArgoUML (PHP5)

Hi newsgroup,

i think i will be able to produce PHP4 / PHP5 files with the Eclipse Version
(argoeclipse) of ArgoUML
But i realised that only Java is selectable in the dropwdown of 'detail' /
'source view'.

Do i need to change some settings or is argoeclipse not able to produce php
files?

Best regards

Hi Daniela,

ArgoEclipse is not able to use any of the ArgoUML plugin modules
currently (PHP, C++, Python, DB, etc). This is one of the things
which hasn't been implemented in the Eclipse environment yet.

We have some proposals to do this as a Google Summer of Code project,
so hopefully this functionality will be available in the near future.

adding OCL constraint on methods

Hello, I am having some problems when trying to add ocl constraints on
methods, i can however add without any problem constraints on
attributes, why is that?

According to the documentation, you should be able to create constraints for
Class, Attributes, Operations and Reception.

Our cookbook says:
"Because of a problem with the interpretation of the UML specification and
the OCL specification, the implementation of constraints in ArgoUML is only
possible for Classes, Interfaces and Features (Attributes and Operations).
See Issue 1805 ."

And issue 1805 gives some background for the reason of this limitation of
ArgoUML.
http://argouml.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=1805

BUT, since the time that was written, we added support for METHODS (another
kind of "Feature"), and I guess the support for constraints for methods was
forgotten.
I see an exception when clicking on the constraints tab with a method
selected.

This is a bug.
Would you please be so kind to file one in out issue database at:
http://argouml.tigris.org/project_bugs.html

Thanks,

I don't have the reference at hand, but it sounds like this is a known
problem. If it is, you should add any additional information that you
have to the entry in the bug database. If it's not, you should create
a new bug entry so you can track progress on the bug.

Association Multiplicity

Hello,

I've just started evaluation ArgoUML with a couple of sample use-cases
and have a question:

  - Is it possible to remove the "multiplicity" elements of an
association when connecting an Action to a Use-Case?

Kind Regards,

UML2 support

Hi,

Any ideas when the UML2.X metamodel would be supported?

I searched the archives; as of Oct '06 there was no mention of dates but I was wondering if plans had firmed up since then.

Cheers,
Sebastian

Re: Association Multiplicity

Hi Duncan,

Absolutely: In the menu, go to File -> Properties, then the tab Notations,
and deselect the item Show "1" multiplicities.

If you want to make this the default for new projects, do the same thing in
Edit -> Settings.

Regards,
Michiel

OCL bug in 0.24 release

Hi, i''ve been working with ArgoUML for a while now, but there is one
aspect of it that i'm concerned with, it's about the OCL support, i
cannot define a constraint for methods(operations) and thus parameters
neither. i was wondering if this bug will be solved soon. Thanks, Jorge.
