Analytics Opening at Health Market Science, suburban Philadelphia, USA

Health Market Science (HMS), located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania,
USA has an opening for a statistician.   The responsibilities of this
position include research and new product development, and building
client deliverables involving complex analytical methods.  The
position will leverage the candidates’ skills in data analysis to
drive value.

Preferred educational background:  MS with approx 3 yrs experience, or
BS with approx 5 yrs experience in statistics or similar

Statistical Consultant
Purpose of Position:

Provide professional statistical consulting and instruction to UT faculty, staff and students. Apply
knowledge of specialized statistical methodologies to research at an advanced level. Responsible for
the direction and completion of research projects. Act as liaison officer between division and other
academic units.

Essential Functions:

Under the supervision of the consulting manager, determine the project requirements of contracting
agencies, faculty, staff or students and develop procedures (consulting models/methods/strategies)
to attain results. Provide 20 hours per week of advanced consulting services. In concert with the
division director, direct curriculum development and statistical instruction for the division's
short courses, introductory statistics courses and software instruction at the UT Summer Statistics
Institute. Instruct consulting personnel on the methods and procedures for developing/documenting
consulting policies and logs, producing data reports, updating web-based tutorials for statistical
software, and promoting the division's consulting services. Maintain the division's web site
resources for consulting, including FAQ's, resources and directions for seeking statistical
assistance from the division. Research methodological topics to complete consultant duties.

Mental Health Informatician

The CAMHS EBPU is a research and training unit that is part of  University
College London (UCL) and the Anna Freud Centre (a registered charity
dedicated to excellence in child and adolescent mental health). Within the
unit sits the central team for the CAMHS Outcome Research Consortium (CORC)
– a national collaboration between child and adolescent mental health
services (CAMHS) across the UK who contribute outcome data for central
analysis and reporting. The CORC central database currently has data on
over 150,000 episodes of care. Full information on CORC can be found at:

The post-holder’s role is to develop the central analysis and reporting
processes at CORC, in particular: improving how we currently automate,
perform statistical analyses of, and graphically present services’ mental
health data; liaising with current research initiatives which analyse the

with analysis; liaising with member services; assisting in developing
reports for services and visiting services to advise and discuss issues
arising as necessary, including on occasion making formal presentations.

We are looking for someone with a computer science and psychology
