 Patch worked for me on CentOS 5.2 using haskell-platform-2009.2.0.2.
 (Previous ghc install was ghc-6.10.4-i386-uknown-linux-n.

 When I run cabal.exe on a Windows 2000 it fails with this pop-up:

 cabal.exe - Entry Point Not Found
 The procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic
 link library WS2_32.DLL.

 This was metioned [http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1415309/problem-
 using-network-package-in-ghc before] but I couldn't find a report here.
 The problem will most probably go away once
 [http://trac.haskell.org/network/ticket/5 this] bug is fixed. In the
 meantime I would suggest making the windows installer "XP or later only"
 to avoid bad user experiences.

 While compiling from the source tarball the configure and build stages
 work ok and notice to skip packages that exist already, but the install
 stage fails to notice that and tries to run the "Setup install" on
 packages that never got their Setup.hs compiled (because the build stage
 correctly skipped them). This turned out on ghc-6.10.4 and haskell-
 platform-2009.2.0.2

ghc-6.12.1 libraries patch

Hi,

Not sure if this is wanted yet ;)  but here is a small patch to update
the core ghc libraries etc for ghc-6.12.1, which "cabal install"s for
me anyway.

What is the planned first version that will support ghc-6.12.1?
