laser disc database

I was wondering if it were possible to pull database information from the LaserDiscDataBase: http://www.lddb.com/

I have a huge LD collection and this would add to an already fantastic program! Thanks...

LDDB looks like a nice resource. Indeed, it would be nice to have Tellico
hooked up to search it. It doesn't look like there's an API, so Tellico
would have scrape the web pages directly. That's prone to error, of course.
I have a list of sites that people have suggested or requested that Tellico
scrabe, I can add LDDB to that list. I just may not get to it anytime soon.
Sorry...but thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't come across LDDB before.

Tellico, a summary field from Amazon

Hello,

I discovered tellico that fits perfectly with my needs.
But there is no default summary field.
So i tried to make one, but i dont understand how to make him retrieve those summarys from Amazon (fr).

Do you have any ideas?

Regards

A. Titeux

Crash After a Few Updates

Hi,

I've been updating book records using the Library of Congress to record
Dewey Decimal numbers and LoC Classification.

One book, /A Child Called "It"/, causes Tellico to crash every single
time (and the error-reporting says that the information isn't useful).
The ISBN is 1-55874-366-9, the LCCN Number is 95020792. This happens
with both my original record and a new record I added, and, again, I'm
selecting only the Library of Congress as the update source.

Thanks for your email. You're correct. While creating a new field may be easy enough, connecting it to Amazon results is a bit more difficult. It requires editing the amazon2tellico.xsl file.

Which summaries are you interested in? I can send you the edits easily enough. What kind of collection is this for?

Thanks for the bug report. It turns out to be a race condition with some of the z39.50 results. I wrote it up in bug 250795 and it's fixed now for the next release.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=250795

An interesting fact is that the LoC returns two results for that ISBN, but with different LCCN values.

Thanks very much for taking the time to send the bug report.

Can you give me more details about the steps you took to induce the crash? Is it reproducible every time you try to search for an ISBN? Is it a specific ISBN?
